I tried to repeat the Don Ferguson magic by once again going after a 5th year QB Washington let go. I offered $31 million a year and thought I was over bidding. Nope. He was way too slow for my liking but I would have taken it as he's much younger than Martinez.

Much like real life....QB contracts have gotten rich.....44 million per season last year and now 46-47 million per season this free agency.

Unlike real life.....my QB who was signed off waivers will play for 770,000 this season....is under contract for 2 more seasons with no guaranteed money....and he will happily play and not complain about being vastly underpaid!!!!

I'm glad we don't have to deal with rl stuff like holdouts, suspensions, sexual assault charges, etc.

So I'm just randomly looking at various rosters and I wanted to see what the champs were doing, find out if Plummer retired and I see he has 57 contract offers out. Dang Smirt, no wonder you hate free agency 1. That is a **** load of contracts and I can't imagine how painstaking that must have been.

FA #1 sucks starting with the coaches. Very bad job by JDB that we still have to go into 12 different coaches to protect and re-sign and that we can't do a 1-click $1 raise on the team page with check mark boxes.

You're a good dude and league admin. I'm targeted by many but an admin like Admiral forced me to have to protect myself in the past. The coward posted my free agency situation in great detail right before FA #1 forcing me to have to take an aggressive tactic to survive.

It's a lot better to have 57 contract offers than zero like some teams had.

On the flipside, I have noticed a couple of teams with zero contract offers and that's not going to help anyone improve their team.

That happened to me last season as the FA cycle happened while I was on a cruise. Wasn't going to let that happen this time!! I'm hoping the moves I've made so far, along with those pending, will keep the ball rolling back into the playoffs!!

I remember 1 free agency week 1 where I put in 3 max contracts hoping to land 1 of them all BOOM!!! All 3 signed and I had to scramble to make the numbers work.

I had to trade all that years picks and redo a bunch of contracts plus make some hard cuts.

It's fun offering a bunch of contracts where if everybody signs....you wind up -29 million under the cap. I get why it is the way it is but I wish we could prioritize certain players and have free agent signing rules...like if player A signs, void player B & C or if player A doesn't sign....max contract player B.

Agree 100%. Wish there was a similar feature for drafting.

Washington let that young QB go because Washington isn't paying attention to his leagues anymore. That's a sure sign that it's probably time to depart this game. This will be my last season here & in all my other leagues. (I should've done this at the end of last season.)

Crazyrazor,

It's been fun competing against you for the last few years. Sorry to lose another vet but I understand.

Enjoy (If possible) the final season
