6 Passing TDs......Helluvastat
I wonder how high the score would have been if I DID NOT game plan 64% against the pass using nickel and dime packages.
Wouldn't matter since you passed 71% of the time against me. Even when ahead in the 3rd by a score 42-10
Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go play an arcade game of Football to get my quarters worth
This was by far, Doug Fluty's best game ever and just the 3rd time New Jersey has scored 40+ in 28 regular season games, first time in 1975.
Looking at the game log, I noticed the Gamblers played a lot of zone defense. That would explain my YAC, as I had several short passes turn into big gains. It's one thing to plan for passing plays, but if your defensive plays prove ineffective your planning won't matter.
Idk why, but others have said zone defense is broken in MFN, or it doesn't work like it should. I have seen nothing in my games to dispute that and I have had teams get burned by zone defenses myself.
Why did I pass so much? I don't really know as I did not change anything about my offense for this game. I have found when I do slight changes to my run/pass ratio in the rules, it results in a wild swing during the game. I want to run between 40-50% of the time, but I can't seem to find that balance in my rules.
