The battle for the #1 pick in the 1992 draft is tonight. We already know the first 2 picks will belong to Arizona and Oklahoma and they play each other tonight. The winner of the game will get their first victory of the season and the #2 pick while the loser will have the #1 overall selection. What happens if they tie? Your guess is as good as mine.

GG Oakland. You gave me all I could handle. I feel fortunate to walk away with the win.

Good game Tampa, I guess that gives you bragging rights for Florida - maybe one more play and we'd have won. Driggers was on fire in the first half, but struggled to close it out after building that 14 point lead.

Lots of positives to take, haven't had much time to look at the team yet, I shuffled the O line around and they did a pretty good job. WR King and RB Dehaven are definitely rocks to build around. QB is a conundrum, whats that saying 'If you have 2 starting QB's you don't have a Quarterback!'

No expectations for this year, but we'll give it our best and see where we end up.

Pittsburgh 28, Georgia 7
Maulers tie the franchise record of nine consecutive victories set in 1975 and '79.
BUT, next up is a guaranteed loss to Washington. Which probably means this team will go from 3-13 to 10-6 (after a 1-5 start) and still not make the playoffs. That's a shame.

I won't guarantee anything after losing to Birmingham. Records mean nothing.

Records mean nothing? Here are Washington's recent records against Pittsburgh:
1991, 1-0 (39-14)
1990, 2-0 (33-7. 48-3)
1989, 2-0 (32-10, 26-14)
1988, 2-0 (39-7, 26-6)
1987, 2-0 (27-6, 20-3)
1986, 2-0 (13-3, 40-0)
1985, 2-0 (51-16, 16-13)
1984, 2-0 (23-6, 33-14)

Total: Washington 15, Pittsburgh 0, total 466-122, average score 31-8.

It's a new hybrid day in Pittsburgh. Don't fall for it, baby.
