I'll probably shut the voting down after work, we have 27 votes in and waiting on a few stragglers will not change the results enough. Mario Valencia has 22 votes for 81.48%, second place only has 16 votes and won't reach 75% even if everyone left votes for him.

I'll work on getting the All Pro Ballot ready tomorrow.

If you haven't voted yet, there still is reason to do so. There are many players near the 25% cutoff to stay on the ballot. If voting were to end now, 16 players would drop off the ballot.

This is broken.

No one even got close to unanimous. Only 1 going through is criminal and is going to load up future ballots even further. Got to push a few through and **** the torpedoes err %'s. Push 4 or 5 through, IMO.

I just isolated Murray and sussed around. 82 vs. 67 for the next player in rushing touchdowns and 2nd with 108 total touchdowns which aside from Robinzine I believe sits alone on a threshold. He needs to be pushed through.

Is it possible to at least push through those who got above 50% this year?? That might loosen up the potential logjam down the road...

nods like at least find the differentiators at the top of the list; the no doubters and get 'em through.

John Borkowski is intriguing. Blanco and Vargas are currently active and in his range but looks like most of the tackles sort are retired players in his realm, therefore, I don't think he's poised to be lapped by many and his tackles muted over time.

That might be doable, as we would have 5 get in and 16 would fall off, leaving us 17 that carry over. We'll be adding several to the preliminary ballot, which we'll whittle down to between 10-15.

If I made the cutoff 60%, we would still only have Valencia get in. Second place has 59.26%.

I have closed the Hall of Fame voting and the results are shown below. I had one suggestion to induct all with over 50% and I think that's a good idea this time around. I'll make a final determination later Sunday, give me a chance to sleep on it and see if anyone else has an opinion.

I think you're doing a perfect job with the HOF as its ambassador and protector. Yes, 50% looks like the right play here. The key is to let guys in while also making sure we don't have a turnstile where everyone parties on down (and gets in!)

It's tricky. Another year everyone may be trigger happy and you have 20 guys (I'm exaggerating a bit) earmarked with over 50% and then that can't be the threshold. It's about flexibility.
