I'm sure most of you have heard about Helene, the hurricane that's wreaking havoc. Hopefully you and yours are safe from the wrath of Helene.

Living in Ohio you might think we're not affected but we are. It's obviously not a hurricane once it's this far inland but we still had high winds and tons of rain. Knocked out power to a lot of people, including some of our other stores at work. We ended up combining 2 stores into 1 for the night and it was chaos. I haven't had to deliver the UD campus in quite awhile and the drivers from their store were like a fish out of water, not knowing where anything in the store is and we all had to deliver to unfamiliar areas.

My brain is still kind of fried from the stress and I'd probably have to do it again tonight if I wasn't going to see Testament and Kreator in concert. A lot of the workers who are normally here to deal with power outages were sent to Florida in advance of the storm so the one's who are here are busting their humps.

I'm doing the playoff write ups and I just noticed how awesome the Week 14 schedule is when it comes to meaningful games.

Honolulu (10-3) @ San Jose (11-2)

San Jose wins the Pacific with a win and while both teams are playoff bound, seeding and home games are important in January.

Jacksonville (9-4) @ Orlando (9-4)

Jacksonville won the first meeting and while a sweep won't guarantee a division title, it will help toward that goal tremendously.

Pittsburgh (12-1) @ New Orleans (13-0)

A game for home field advantage basically. There are still 2 games after this but the winner controls their destiny toward the BYE.

Boston (9-4) @ Philadelphia (7-6)

Boston got off to a hot start and still lead the East but still need 1 more win to clinch a playoff spot. Philadelphia has won 5 in a row after a rough 2-6 start and a Bell win would really tighten up the East race.

San Antonio (11-2) @ Houston (8-5)

The Southwest doing Southwest things. San Antonio has 11 wins but still has yet to clinch the division. I don't think Houston can take the division even if they manage to tie the Gunslingers at 11-5, but the Gamblers will likely need to win 2 of their last 3 to ensure a playoff spot unless Chicago loses a game they shouldn't.

Is it just me or has this been a lackluster playoffs? Most games devoid of drama. It's still been a great season overall as many teams remained in contention and we had some new blood in the playoffs and just missing out.

We had a lot of owner turnover during the season and obviously I'd prefer stability. It seems a lot of the newer players have trouble reading messages and whatnot. I have one guy who asked to take over Southern California but he lacks enough credits for me to approve him. I sent a PM last week but the request still sits there unchanged, and me unable to approve him.

The LA Express has had 2 straight new players who did nothing and got auto-kicked for not logging in. Not all new owners are bad, but my point is I'm in no position to be choosy because it's not like people are knocking down the door trying to get in.

I'll post our openings since the season is about to flip but the user base overall is dwindling and JDB is unwilling/unable to do anything about it.

OK, that was my sort of rant post.

Congratulations on great seasons that fell short of your goals Smirt and Thanos. I know you guys were hoping to play 1 more game but there is no shame in losing to brxnivy or Legend.

Speaking of brxnivy and Legend, congratulations on making it back to the World Bowl. You both have had great seasons but unfortunately only one can call themselves World Bowl Champions. Best of luck tonight.

MFN continues to be topsy turvy with all of it's problems but we'll continue to push forward into the 2013 USFL/WFL season. I'd love to be full but we'll make do with however many we have like we always do. Looking forward to seeing everyone back for 2013.

Not league related but I'm glad the Davante Adams trade is done. I was happy when the Raiders first got him but since he quit on the team, I quit on him. I'm glad he gets to play with his BFF, hopefully they'll enjoy losing together because I hope the Jets lose the rest of their games. Adams is still talented and I know he doesn't care but he lost the respect of a lot of fans, not just me.

Speaking of trades, wow Buffalo. Nice job getting Cooper. Hopefully he'll help beat the Chiefs in January.

BTW my playoff predictions were fire. If I checked correctly, only games I got wrong were picking Michigan to beat Oklahoma and picking Orlando to beat my Generals.
