Always a battle against your well constructed, superbly managed squad. The final score does not reflect how closely the game was contested (Gold trailing with 4 minutes to play). Congrats on a fine season and an unmatched record of excellence over time (twenty-one 10+ win seasons over the last twenty-three seasons; 12 in a row). Kudos.
First time my end game rules triggered...I had no confidence they would, therefore, the first 4th down turnover on downs was more based on losing the rules and never having it come up. I need to tighten now I know it works. The game articles were garbage. I have 151 titles. Again I was using basic d rules and praying they work. They did but I need to add slowly and make sure they stick. The articles kept harping that I was tactically destroyed. I wonder if I only get that. Hard to compete w a fellow best when you never know if a rule works. I will praise next post.
Those AI articles are garbage...first of all my team is New Jersey Generals, not Piscataway Generals as it kept calling me. Our stadium is in Piscataway, NJ.
That's not my only complaint about it, just the main one.
Congrats on winning the 2021 USFL / WFL Championship! Well earned and well deserved. What an outstanding run through the playoffs you engineered, taking down the title as the #6 seed in your Conference. Take a moment to appreciate the accomplishment and look at the collective resumes of all those teams you defeated. As to the championship game, your combination of front four pressures and blanket coverage in the secondary completely overwhelmed my squad. Well done, sir. Kudos!
There is absolutely no way this team could have won through the playoffs if I had coached in 6-7 leagues. I cut back many moons ago for this purpose. I play in 3 leagues now, 2 of which were in the offseason before the USFLWFL playoffs started.
So I devoted all my gameplan time once I knew we secured a playoff berth. It was a hard slog in preparation for each playoff game, ngl. But hard work paid off, it seems.
Just goes to show that a 10-6 team CAN win in post season if you really study the opponents.
Sorry for the joyful rant guys/gals - but I'm overly chuffed!
