LOL
Earlier on in this thread, particularly, there were a few pontificating deeply on the game and their profile indicated having been playing since December or later. I'm all for everyone having an opinion and vocalizing but to breeze in with an air of knowing it all versus short time frame.
Like that ESPN Segment, 'COME ON, Man!'
You both claim to care deeply about this game. You both expected that by making "vague" references, you wouldn't get called on your snarkiness. You may not be TRYING to drive off noobs, but that is exactly what this kind of behavior will accomplish most of the time. Without us noobs, this game will die. So, although your records or the financial support you've given - may ENTITLE you to make these sorts of comments, please think twice next time. You're both better than that, so make better decisions.
Tarquinthedark if you think anything I said was in reference to yourself then you are mistaken. You have played multiple seasons in several leagues so I must assume you have been exposed to at least 2 versions by now if not 3 versions. If I was being vague then let me be clear, I was referring to Lamba who has played exactly 1 season of MFN in 1 league and who simply has no frame of reference to add to this thread. This thread is clearly about the CHANGES in the versions and how it has effected the game leading veteran owners to become frustrated with the state and direction of the game. He is posting about gameplans and how stupid some of the best owners in this game are calling plays. Veterans like myself that call plays in an attempt to figure out these new versions in various ways. Lamba went 15-1 in his one and only season in the first season following an allocation draft. He did a fantastic job and found something that worked for him. Unfortunately he went 1 and done in the playoffs despite being the #1 seed. Smirt211, Michael77 and myself have won multiple championships under 4.3, 4.4 and we are winning at a high level in 4.5 as well. Im not sure if anyone in MFN has won a league championship under 4.5 yet or not.
This really isnt about figuring out what works in 4.5, most of us have honed in it. **** I just won a game 91-0 in 4.5 in the Shadow League. Heres a link if you want the game log
https://shadow.myfootballnow.com/box/1315Trust me Im all for new owners joining, thats great but playing one season just doesnt give you the frame of reference for the changes in the game. You simply havent gone through the switch from 4.3 to 4.4 to 4.5 over the coarse of 3 consecutive seasons. It has been frustrating to a bunch of owners, owners that have been a fixture for years are quitting and that is very disturbing. New owners are great and we need more of them but new owners come and go quickly sometimes while someone that has played for years (real time) tend to keep playing.
If you think Im gonna sit by and watch somebody with very little game experience call veteran owners that I have played for years be called fools or have him attempt to school owners that I have battled for Championships and know first hand how difficult it is to gameplan against then you are wrong.
New owners are welcome to play and have opinions but its disrespectful to come on here and talk trash when you havent done anything in this game. EVERYONE is this game continues to learn and evolve but the amount of knowledge owners like Smirt, Michael and Grandadb have is incredible and Lamba simply dismisses them as old idiots that need to get out of his way.
