+1It is a crying shame that two experienced and well respected owners can discuss a potential trade in PMs (for example), come to an agreement on something they both think is fair, and then the AI won't even allow it to be proposed.
I would much rather allow more bad trades to go through, than to prevent more legitimate trades.
Not exactly what I meant...but something I agree with, as well. I think there are two related but different issues being discussed in this thread:
1) What to do about bad trades.
2) What to do about fair trades that the trade meter won't let through.
I've mostly been commenting against ideas aimed at the first issue that will, to me, make trading very different than what happens in real life. Things like public trade offers or a period to beat an agreed upon trade offer.
To my mind #2 needs to be addressed by improvements in the trade meter logic. But yes, I am very much in favor of improvements in that area.
