So if it's a 3 way tie between gamblers showboats and wheels... that puts gamblers at 2-0 in head to head. Showboats at 1-2 and wheels at 0-1. So gamblers would be in?

If showboats win, gamblers lose and wheels lose. That ties showboats and wheels and showboats win that head to head and are in.

Gamblers win and wheels and showboats lose ?

Well, we definitely have a lively chat/debate going on here. :)

The team takes on much more meaning here than the traditional MFN Leagues; especially when you're scratching and clawing each week for survival.

4 months into his MFN-career and Royce Ring (ex-Mets pitcher) is bringing the fire in one of the site's most competitive leagues at 14-1.

Impressive!

Raidergreg, the section you are citing is to break a three-way tie within a division. I was citing the "To Break A Tie For The Wild Card Team" when the clubs are from different divisions, which is the scenario we face here.

To Break A Tie For The Wild-Card Team
If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken.
If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply division tie breaker.
If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps.
Two Clubs
Head-to-head, if applicable.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

Pvt's easy guide to the USFL/WFL American Wild-Cards...

Arizona wins and they're IN.
Detroit wins and they're IN.
Houston/Memphis loses, they are OUT.
Houston needs to win and Arizona to lose.

Arizona plays Detroit in the season finale.
Arizona wins, Houston loses, Memphis loses:
Ari:10-6
Det: 9-7
Hou: 8-8
Mem: 8-8
Ari, Det: IN

Arizona wins, Houston wins, Memphis wins.
Ari: 10-6
Det: 9-7
Hou: 9-7
Mem: 9-7
Tie-breaker #1 Head to Head: Memphis beat Detroit (eliminated) but Houston beat Memphis (eliminated)
Ari, Hou: IN

Detroit wins, Houston wins, Memphis wins:
Det: 10-6
Ari: 9-7
Hou:9-7
Mem: 9-7
Tie-Breaker #1 Head to Head: Arizona beat Houston (eliminated), Houston beat Memphis (eliminated).
Det, Ari: IN

So we know that Arizona is IN (congrats Smirt) and Memphis is OUT (yay me). But plenty of drama left to unfold!

Thanks for the complement, I appreciate it.

I was really lucky jumping into a great team to start my career. I'm sure when these guys retire or don't get signed you'll see me fall fast.
