I just wanted to have a "Before" pic of my rookies before TC tonight because I'm watching the weights of Hilfiger, Hobbes and Gorbachev. The former Soviet leader was a DL in college, almost 300lbs now and he's moving to LB.

I am anxious to see where Tampa Bay QB Melvin Driggers goes during his second camp. He gained almost 9 points overall (60 to 69) during his first camp and his ceiling is still 93 (my weights).

A mixed camp. Not much boom and a whole lot of bust. But the three first rounders on my team didn't bust so yay? Still will cost about 13m in cap penalty next season from 3rd and 4th round busts.

For once Shreveport are happy with their draft.

1st rounder safe LB (vol 4) stayed safe at 79 potential
2nd round RB (vol 98) boomed +8 to 86 potential (phew)
3rd round TE (vol 58) went -6 down to 70 potential (shame but...)
4th round TE (vol 100) boomed +7 to 82 potential (very nice)
5th round QB (vol 82) boomed +6 to 75 potential (could be useful)

5th round FS (vol 100) died on his feet and fell -16 to 47 potential
6th round RB and 7th round WR went a similar way with falls of -8 and -12
Another 7th round WR went +5 but not enough to stay after pre-season

So 3 immediate starters and 2 possible backups. For once the big busts happened in the latter rounds of the draft.

Thunderbolts Camp kinda blah. Added some decent depth!

Pittsburgh camp was a disappointment

The reason for the disappointment was 1st rounder QB Nathan Bustamante yes the name should have said it but we took a chance and he went +11/-6 and with a high of 67 (right now) for Accuracy he is pretty much regulated to being a back up for the rest of his career. Looks like the Maulers are still looking for the QB of the future

Second Rounder CB Henry Taylor +19/+2 will be a solid corner for several seasons.

Third Rounder Guard Henry Taylor +4/-10 will be lucky to make the team.

Fourth Rounder WR William Cox +23/+4 had a great camp. Doesn't have the top end speed you want in a Wide Recevier but quick acceleration and at and/or nearly topping out on B&R Avoidance, Route Running and Catching will keep him in the league for several years.

Fifth Rounder LB James Riker +6/+6 will be a solid linebacker as soon as he loses the weight.

Sixth Rounder RB/WR/KR John Quimby +6/-2 will find a home somewhere on the team. Not the greatest of camps but still a solid player.

7th Rounder DB Clayton Obrien +10/+3 had a great camp and turned some heads. He was brought in to play safety and could be solid. Lack of speed is concerning still.

Not a very good camp at all.

Everyone passed on TE Wesley Hull in the 1st round basically forcing my hand to take him despite needs in other areas.

I was rewarded as the 88 vol boomed +3 and by my weights is a 45/91 TE who will also be used at FB with a potential switch to RB in future seasons

We got lucky — not a single draft pick busted. Also, we didn't have any draft picks.
