It's been awhile since I posted here, but the title is appropriate since I'm announcing the release of the first ever Generals player Doug Fluty. The 5th overall selection of our allocation draft, Fluty had a pretty good run as Generals QB, leading them to their first World Bowl Championship in 1981.
The game version switches weren't kind to Fluty and he was surpassed on the depth chart by Stephan Labelle and Ric Flair. A veteran QB3 is a luxury I feel we can't afford as the rest of our roster ages, so I made the hard decision today to cut him loose.
He'll probably be angry with me as he still has <1% retirement probability, but we wish him nothing but the best. Fluty was a first class person and a positive influence in the Generals locker room.
