Celebrating 30 Years of USFL/WFL Football

As we begin season 31 of USFL/WFL football, I thought it would be a good time to look back at the history of our great league. We've had so many interesting things happen throughout our 30 seasons, and only six of us have been with the same team since Day 1.

I'm not sure how often I'll post stuff and what exactly I'll write about, but I will at least do a year by year review of each season beginning with 1974 here https://usflwfl.myfootballnow.com/forums/6/2731?page=1#16504.

I will be locking each thread as I post them, however if anyone wants to comment on anything related to our history and/or something I post, feel free to comment/discuss right here.

I would also like to thank each and everyone of you that is here playing now, along with all of the past players that have come and gone. I sincerely mean everyone, even those I've had run ins with like Booger and Infinity. Booger never won anything but he could be quite entertaining and even helpful at times when he wasn't seemingly drunk. Infinity brought an excellence of play and was **** near impossible to beat there for a few seasons. Regardless of what I think of him as a person, he could play this game quite well.

Everyone who has ever been here has contributed in some way to our history, and while it's not all good, it's still a part of it and helped make us the league we are today.

resign our players 3 or 4 times! I did it agin this time, hope I get them back, its **** having to
replace good players! Hope this makes you laugh!

With the draft starting today and me with no picks in the 1st round, I thought it would be a good time to look back at our 31 #1 overall picks. Look back is not the correct term for Jamie Orman, the current #1 pick, but I do give him a write-up based on his player card.

The link above takes you there but if you want to comment, please do so here as that thread is now locked. Thanks.

I like that some of those players have personal anecdotes. The MMA fighter was a nice one.

I apologize, I meant to do a lot more with this but several factors combined prevented me from doing so. I may still write historical stuff from time to time, just because we're on to season 32 doesn't mean we can't still look back on our history.

I think most of you are good with the fact I don't crank out content like CJ. I used to enjoy that aspect a lot more in previous years, but we all know 4.6 is pretty stale and I just can't get myself all worked up and excited to write stuff.

I have felt for awhile that the strength of USFL was in the stiff competition and helping each other out with MFN stuff and I hope that's enough to carry us forward.
