I am openly asking everyone for any suggestions about possible anti-tanking rules. Earlier this season, Oklahoma went like 8 games without a true kicker on the roster. Now we have Arizona playing the worst of their 3 rookie QBs, a guy whose accuracy
will never be higher than 31. There is no good reason for Brian Carmichael to not be playing under center increasing his play knowledge. That will hurt down the line if you decide to try to win in the future.
I have no idea what I can do to stop this, other than point it out publicly. I get why people would tank, but tanking affects everyone, even teams not on the schedule. As we come into the playoff stretch of the season, teams facing a tanking team clearly have an advantage, knowing they can rest any player with a hangnail and still win.
I don't like it one bit, it's pretty weak IMO. It's not much different than those who want to use exploits to game the system, only it's in reverse. You're gaming the system to gain higher draft collateral.
I have been in a position to tank in a few leagues, most recently with this team
https://gm-football-league.myfootballnow.com/team/26. Last season I was 2-8 after 10 games, in position for a top 3 pick before winning 4 in a row, falling out of the top 10.
Maybe I'm just wired different, but I would like to find a way to prevent tanking.
