is there any reality at all in this game, or should I just have WR at every position and throw every down? Its pretty silly.

TOP RUSHING TEAMS

1. Sabercats 9-2
2. Maulers 10-1
3. Bell 11-0
4. Panthers 9-4
5. Force 7-3-1

There is very little that's reality in MFN but a solid running game is essential to win!

A pass only attack is easily defended by pass keying every player but it can put up big numbers. The question is does you want stats or a Title? Balance is still the best stragey along with a ton of speed on both sides of the ball!!!

I looked at MFN more like Arena football then the NFL!

I'll add that while there are times that San Jose throws 70-80 times a game they have also thrown 0 passes in a game and still won.

Speed everywhere is important, DL speed helps sack QBs and force bad throws.

Perhaps more importantly, you need to set a minimum acceptable speed and stick with that. I'm looking at your roster and I see a 37 speed LB, a 52 speed LB, and a pair of DEs below 50 speed (I prefer 70+ myself there). If it was me the 2 LB would be cut immediately while I'd consider moving the slow DEs inside to DT.

It may seem counter intuitive but I prefer a fast player with minimal skills to a player with skills but cement cleats.

Also self scout. Check your offensive and defensive plays and keep picking and choosing which plays work best. Doesn't matter how good or bad anyone's team is, there will always be plays that underperform and other plays that work well.

I will add even further.....once you have the roster set and have a core set of plays on offense and defense...the next step is to use overrides on offense and defense!!!!

It's done by formation so you need to sort plays by formation and use the best possible player at each position.

For example, in the I formation normal formation on offense, you may use the FL Hitch which calls for the RB to pass block so you may not wanna use you primary back in that set but then you may run the HB Blast or HB dive out of formation which means you want RB1 in that set for maximum yardage. It all depends on what plays You use the most and what each player is called to do!

You can really use overrides to shape how your players line up to best use them for each formation.

Just when you dig a little deeper, you find more and more layers. It's all about how much time and effort you wanna put into each gameplan! I'm pretty lazy so I rarely put in all the effort that I could but anyone can do it.

It's my opinion that roster construction alone is about 30% while gameplanning is like 70% of the game. I've seen stud rosters barely finish 8-8 while older and less deep rosters win 12 to 13 games regularly. Roster construction matters but gameplan design including overrides and rules is the key to a consistent winner!

Always draft speed in the 1st round at either WR or CB unless you desperately need a QB!

Again this is all my opinion and I'm just trying to help! I rarely win Titles anymore be because I spend my time in MFN doing other things but if you wanna win then acquiring speed and working on the gameplan is the key!

Good game CJ - live by the sword, die by the sword I guess? I didn't think my terrible defense was actually good enough to get all those 4th down stops.

The all out pass, full on strategy can overwhelm pass key except that one play I won't name kills the 311 set, especially the 311s and if you start a game w 113 passing hammering it on zone D you will get nerfed. tricky game - there are a few paths to immediate nerfs....have to swerve and work around.
