Where do we want the preseason injury slider to be in 2002 and beyond?

Ok.

Obviously, it's not Ray by the typing. You see very minimal people asking for car crash injury rate besides Ray and Admiral.

Do you recall anyone else? Maybe one other person.

Main point I was making is the higher the injury rate, the more you make it that any game plan can win a title.

Dude, it's not about the winning. It's about making up stupid names, playing against your friends, mocking awful plays and applauding good ones. It's about enjoyment and it seems to me all yours has run out.
Also important to note I was not proposing we use 150% injuries, I said how I was looking forward to a full roster. Admin makes the rules, everyone else follows or goes to kick rocks.

Why do you do this? Just because an account is new does not mean it's Ray coming after you or whatever. We need new players in MFN, and imo it's easier to keep them around if we don't accuse them of being the 2nd account of someone like Ray or The Admiral.

I didn't read it as he was asking for a higher injury rate. I actually peeped his league before I approved his ownership request and he's just 1 of 32, not running that 150% league. He was just making a statement here that "hey, I came from a high injury league, it will be nice to play in a normal league". At least that's how I took his post.

I was speaking on the high injury rate in general.

You run @ a 150%-200% injury rate and now you're getting deep into depth charts. I -can- easily create waves of players in every area of the depth chart, however, there's a couple of real factors at play.

a) the weakness state loss (your elites are out and/or your nailed at playmaker or DB)
b) it'll completely render game plans useless by injuring the needle movers at every area of the depth chart while getting into 2nd and 3rd level of each area within your roster structure.

It doesn't behoove me to talk because that can only end one way for me, therefore, I go quiet now.

Personally I find 150 injury rate ridiculous and as long as I'm running this league we will never go over 100. Well that's not totally true but I would need JDB to do a couple things first.

I could see 150 or higher injury rate IF:

we have I.R. with a designation to return

we have a practice squad

Short of those 2 things happening, we'll never go over 100. You need "expanded rosters" to go this high imo. Some way to bring injured players back when healed and/or a reserve of players one can call up when injuries strike.

....and the ability for restoration of 1 player to full health ...1 per season @ 150% injury rate.

Red tab button to hit on the player; bring back from the dead.

I had talked about staggering injuries, increasing the meter after each preseason game, but that approach opens the door for more opportunities for me to forget to increase it. It's probably best to set it at one number for all of the preseason.

Starting next season, we'll have an injury meter set at 26 and we'll see how that goes.

Just a reminder of the vote we had last season. I couldn't remember the exact result, so now we all know.
