Whatever the results of the vote, nothing will change for the current preseason. Our injury meter will be 76 for this preseason.
The first time around, we settled on 75 because the consensus was we wanted less preseason injuries but wanted to keep some for realism sake. Since that time, we have dealt with the shortcomings of version 4.6, and strayed further away from any semblance of realism, despite going to 14 playoff teams.
This time around I'm really hoping nobody mentions realism. We'd all like this sim to be as close to realism as possible, but with no practice squads, no IR with an option to return, and so many broken things in this game, we will never get all that close. We also don't have drug suspensions, or QBs getting happy endings. Or hold outs.
If you want to say injuries force more strategic based decisions, that's fine, and also true. Just please don't bring up realism because that's a pipe dream.
As always, please keep discussions civil. We're just playing a game here.
We are 8 votes in and the options are all close, except for leave it at 76. We are getting a consensus we want the injury rate lowered, but no option is leading the pack.

If the votes continue to be evenly distributed between 0, 26, and 50 I have a possible solution. Rather than revote, I am thinking do it in stages. Preseason game 1, injury slider at 0. Preseason game 2, injury slider at 26, preseason game 3 injury slider at 50, then 100 for regular season.

Could also just put it at 26 since that would be a compromise between 0 and 50. I do like your suggestion as well
If people are gonna complain about injuries then it's the only logical chose.
I have a league with 0 injuries and it completely removes the need for depth or building a deep roster....you can even skip setting the depth chart since only 30-35 players ever see the field.
This almost complete removes most roster management and makes the game all about best gameplan wins.

This is for preseason only, and actually helps with roster management, to a degree. How can you evaluate a rookie or new free agent acquisition if they get hurt and can't play in the preseason?
Injuries will stay at 100 for the regular season so idk why you would post this.

Injuries ****!
Nobody is happy when a player gets injured so I vote for 0.
That's all I'm saying, I'm just tired of the complaints about injuries, especially in the preseason so this will end those complaints.
