I'm carrying 7 RBs right now on my roster but I should trim that a bit during roster cutdown to 6 or maybe 5 depending on how it fleshes out.

Not trying to be weird or contrary but does this mean if i carry only three rbs and they get injured i cant use a qb? I have to cut somebody and get a free agent rb? Thats cold blooded and i think unrealistic.

I don't think using a QB at RB is against the rules but even if it is....if your 3 RBs get hurt and you don't want to use either your FB or 3 TEs to run the ball...you can simply change the QBs position to RB when you need to use him.

Once the 3 RBs are healthy enough to play you can switch him back to QB if you want.

I believe the spirit of the rule is not to have WRs run the ball 10, 15 to 20 timed a game.

Yes you can use a QB as a RB. While we're at it, any position on offense can run the ball except WR. Nobody will do it but you could use a LG to carry the ball. Nobody gets upset unless a WR does it.

Moon, way before you joined this league and even before the no WR at RB rule I used to use a QB as a RB. I like to draft replacements before I need them and I did that with a speedy QB I named Ric Flair. My starter hadn't moved on yet but I wanted Flair and his speed on the field so I put him in my RB rotation.

There will be no grace period either if anyone doesn't have enough RB. This rule has been in place for about a decade in MFN time, everyone knows about it, wants it, so if someone only carries 3 RBs, I have no sympathy for any roster problems that come of it.

If someone doesn't want to cut players to sign a FA RB, I would suggest getting a fast TE or FB or backup QB on your roster that can run the ball in a pinch.

You can also take a WR and switch his position to RB. You won't have to wait for weight gain, that will come eventually.

I'm not trying to make this difficult at all, and while the easiest thing to do is let people do whatever they want, there is a strong majority in this league that simply do not want any WR to carry the ball.

im the same way. I traded for qb gutierrez with baltimore last season. He will be the starter when allison retires soon. Gootie is my type of qb and i got a good deal for him.

im part of that majority. Before i knew the league rule my wr robertson ran the ball i think twice because of injuries to two rbs out of three and his speed is 68. Lol
