There's a lot of things which go into injuries, roads to take. We can look at effective offense vs. ineffective offense. That's why it's important to have as potent of an offense as possible.
If you're languishing on a drive, getting nowhere often it'll curtail itself off with an interception. You're barely clipping off first downs, limited, moving the ball but it's coming at hard earned yardage. You can couple that with if someone has a runner whom is taking on a bulk of the carries - he'll get hit for injury; especially if it's hard worked carries in a short span or a lot over a course of a game.
Then I'll jump to my beautiful 2 defensive play scheme (you know what plays) - it's my theory and the scientific ones can test it ....as you're ramming your head against the wall of it the other side is winning over the sim engine with the tactic. What does this mean? More penalties against you and more injury pop-up videos due to the other side streaming a tactic which has you on the losing end of the sim rolls over and over and over and over....

Here's a breakdown of the number of injuries per week in both 1990 and 1991 preseason games. The 25% drop in the injury rate barely moved the needle. Its all pretty much psychological.
2 less injuries week 1 5 less injuries week 2 ? less injuries week 3
The injury rate isn't an accurate number. 75% doesn't mean 25% less injuries. It actual works out to about 3.5% less injuries.
1990 preseason game 1 100% injury rate 115 injuries
1990 preseason game 2 100% injury rate 85 injuries
1990 preseason game 3 100% injury rate 90 injuries
1991 preseason game 1 75% injury rate 113 injuries
1991 preseason game 2 75% injury rate 80 injuries
1991 preseason game 3 75% injury rate

You need to go back to 1989, as this is the second preseason with reduced injury rate.

Maybe there's minimal difference in injuries as a total but the intent drives home much harder @ 100%. The sim engine will come out of the gate in Preseason #1 with injury notifications before conditioning is built up and it'll also hunt down a lightly injured player to double back and ding him further to Questionable 5-week type status. It'll also be much more apt to cause the positional set riptide.
Perhaps some of it in NFFL's case was no League Admin any more and I viewed the injuries as a nuisance but that was another 100% injury rate scenario I Jetson'd out of because the injuries piled up in preseason and it wasn't worth my effort to navigate it.

I know this was voted on and have no problem with going along with the vote.
I enjoy this game and injuries are a big part of it. I dont like getting injured but I do enjoy the challenge injuries present during the course of a season. I love how it challenges my depth and I always go into the offseason when building my team asking "what if"
Without injuries, I would quickly grow board of this game and probably quit. I've never understood the constant complaining about injuries....in my opinion.....injuries are very minimal in this game.
How many players do we ever put on IR in a season....1 maybe hardly ever 2.
How many teams have lost QB1 for more then 2-3 games or even the season....nobody?
I get the frustration when a key player gets injured but its part of the game unless you wanna join leagues with injuries turned all the way down.
I created a league called No Holds Barred.....anything is allowed...punt blocks, anybody playing anywhere and injuries are set to 20%.
My team won the 1st league title and in the 2nd season I'm 5-0 and I've scored 283 total while allowing 7 points. Those 7 points allowed came on a punt block TD so my defense hasn't allowed a point in 5 games.
The point is without injuries and using every cheat I know....Im almost unbeatable but its boring setting up a gameplan and depth chart....combined it takes 20 seconds.
I'm done my rant....Go Gamblers!

The punt block/sack counter is going to continue every sim week. Ok, ok I'll section off our mid-season game to devise a plot for points.
In that thread I touted how it was brave you took the approach. The success has nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with the full-on DB at DL approach which is swarming everything in sight.

How do you find these stats?

I got my new kick holder, baby. It was actually my QB #1, which is not good. Last game was like a 1 point loss and there was a FG miss within there that caused me to write a note....
I can lose but in the future I ain't going down like that. (not saying it caused the loss here because at this point I don't even remember the game) Can't give the sim any excuses.

What stats? If you mean total plays for each player, it's under the misc. stats. If you mean the number of injuries in previous seasons, that can be filtered in the league transactions section.

This is incorrect as 1990 was also a 74% injury rate (it's 74 instead of 75 because it only shows even numbers on my injury slider) so 1990 should be similar to the current 1991 season. I had to work tonight so I couldn't check previous years earlier but I just finished looking at 1988 and 1989.
