For tonight's game sim, I renegotiated 2 contracts that will create some more cap room for the Maulers. I was planning on signing some minimum free agents to fill out the roster, as they only have 48 players and can only field 43 non questionable players tonight. The problem is, with limited cap room, signing new players will take away what little cap room is left.

Even if I don't sign any new players, there isn't enough cap room to sign all 4 impending free agents, so considering this is now a league owned team, I figure I'd let the league decide whom I should try to resign first.

If anyone wants to comment on the order of the 4, that would be helpful too. Like, who would you sign second, third, etc.

You're over-thinking it. 2-9 on a road to nowhere (current season)....just do something and whatever happens happens.

I'm just trying to see who should I extend first. There isn't enough room to sign all 4, might not be able to do 2, so I need help deciding which one to target first.

Screw this season, just want this team as attractive as possible for the next guy.

The more I look at it, it should probably be Matthews first, since he's just in his 4th year, while the other guys are in year 7 or 8. The other two OL, while older, are names I remember from All Pro ballots, especially Caskey. Then you have a DE, while not great, he's solid enough and players tend to not retire so early on the DL.

This is easy.

Matthews and Milligan. 50 strength is useless and a 64 strength OL can be found...

Hold on. I had the wrong Matthews. But, yeah, the DE and that elite OL player.

6'0"...even easier: Milligan.

I'm waiting to see what the cap looks like after tonight's game sim before I sign any extensions. I redid 2 contracts today that will save cap room.

It's hard pulling them up 1 at a time and playing a game of concentration but basically it's an elite rated DE, a 6'0" elite offensive lineman and 2 jobbers.

I'd go with the DE.

Absolutely sign the DE. The other 3 I'll leave up to you.
