This will change how I set my depth chart going forward....no more wasted picks on high end corners

Not only did that WR have 12 INT as a CB3, he took 4 of those to the house.

I agree but this is a worse bug/cheat/exploit then the punt block. A medium speed WR with decent pass catch and no defensive pass defense skills to speak of becomes a prolific CB with 12 interceptions and 4 of them pick 6's is a serious flaw in the code.
This isnt isolated because I've seen it in another league with a WR named Hines Ward. |

Sent the following PM to JDB.....
"Can you please explain how/why this WR can play CB3 and excel with 12 interceptions including 4 pick 6's??? https://new-age-nfl.myfootballnow.com/player/242 This has to be a flaw in the code. He has horrible m2m (21) , b&r (20), zone (28) and punish (31) skills as a defender plus is a tackle (11) yet he played CB3 and amassed 35 tackles 9 missed tackles Thrown at 40 times 4 knockdowns 18 catch allowed 45% catch allowed percentage 12 interceptions 4 pick 6's In fact, he is average speed (63) with acceleration (73) and his only redeeming attributes are intelligence (86) pass catch (88) b&r (92) and route (95) as a receiver. He played so well in an established league in its 8th season.....he is up for defensive player of the year. Can we get an explanation how this statline is possible?" ......I will post his reply when/if it comes

I took over a hapless mfn2 team to test this, and a couple of other things. I used one defensive play, the flat zone, with a WR at OLB. I tanked my offense to ensure a loss. The defense was stifling and the WR produced a pick.
https://mfn2.myfootballnow.com/box/10188 To be clear, I don't advocate doing this. |

Is the overuse penalty not in effect any more? I thought I've recently seen the "offense is figuring out that defense" comment. |

May be a protected play. Blitzes easily fall under that category of over-use and most defensive plays but there's the tricky zone stuff which skirts around it.

We all know a particular GM that will start using this, if he ever catches wind of it......... |
