Pretty great training camp for me.

1st round LDE +5 87 potential
3rd round RG +0 80 potential
4th round MLB +1 61 potential
5th round TE +9 71 potential(99 in ls)
6th round RB +9 79 potential
7th round C -4 62 potential

Only 1 bust and I found my future starting LDE, RG and longsnaper, as well I found some quality backups.

1-9 C Simmonds -1/88
1-20 LB Frederick +2/81
2-1 WR Branson -1/79
2-17 LG Morris +3/88
2-20 LB Raley 0/76
4-20 WR Heasley +8/79
4-23 LB Hamilton -2/63
5-1 LG Garcia +10/82
5-15 RT Niemann +3/73
7-1 LB Beebe -3/54

Overall one of my better drafts in MFN. A couple of bums, but 8-10 will be starters or get alot of playing time.

Well I had no early picks , but this is how my draft played put

4th round CB 1/63
5th round LDE -7/60
5th round DT -21/41
6th round QB 0/72
6th round WLB 7/67
7th round MLB -1/54

So lets see 1 huge bust at a position I really needed to work out, 3 players will add some needed depth , and a couple others are fighting to make the team

Well. All that mattered was my #1 overall didn’t bust and he obliged. 2nd round pick also boomed. The rest are duds but that just would have been icing on the cake.

This pic is too current, as I did not draft Orlowski but signed him as an undrafted FA and I cut my big bust Cliff Branch.

My first round OL busted. Still an okay player but ....
Every other player busted but 2 LB that will get some snaps.
I wonder when lady luck is gonna be on my side in usfl lol

Orlowski is very good, I was trying to sign him too.

Not a very productive draft for the Stallions. Just hoping for viable backups.

Zellar had 100 vol, so I knew that could go either way.
Looking good for my 6th round pick to make the team as a backup.

Overall draft grade: meh -

3.28 #52 Joseph Clayton SLB 2/-2

5.20 #26 Gerald McCormick CB 12/-1

5.28 #99 Walter Zeller WLB 2/-15

6.28 #77 William Mikell LDE 7/1

Houston's gamble on high vol defensive back reinforcements paid off big

1st round 94 vol SS boomed +19/+7
2nd round 74 vol CB boomed +9/+7
4th round 88 vol FS boomed +12/+4

While my 3rd round CB 62 vol CB busted +7/-6 and will try to make the roster as depth at SS

On offense I was set at the major skill positions and was able to add depth at FB, TE, LT and C who all boomed or at least didnt bust.

FB +12/+1
TE +6/0
LT +15/+1
C +7/+2

This has to be one of my best training camp/draft classes ever with 6 players booming, 1 breaking even and 1 bust with all 8 having a decent chance to make the roster.

While I just took over this team that was already loaded with talent and highly successful, this draft really filled in the few holes the roster had and helped find replacements for some of the aging talent on defense.
Nicely done Houston.......
I knew that when Houston hired cjfred68 as their new GM, things would change big time!
It’s already showing, and I’m getting nervous since I’m in the same conference as you!
As a previous GM of this team, ****! I just kept the engine warm for you, didn’t do any major change up.

Thanks offensivetaco....no complaints about how the team was left for me. I just really wanted a chance to be in a Tribewriter league and maybe get a few ideas for being a league admin.

I heard nothing but good things about this league. I will do my best to live up to the previous owners that did the heavy lifting.

Edit to add....good luck on the new project you took over offensivetaco
