Here's a classic example of the LB shrug off in action:
https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/974#196008 The running back (5'10, 213) has 100 SP and 33 break tackle. The LB (6'0, 245) has 99 SP and 75 tackle. The LB tracks down the RB from behind and has a good angle. But the RB just shrugs him off like he's not there.
I'm just curious. Regarding this play in particular, do you think every time this happens the RB should be tackled by this LB?
This is the same play, this time the LB makes the tackle:

https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/974#196070Again:
https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/974#196044Same play, this time tackled by a DE with a 51 tackle rating:
https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/974#196017This time tackled by a SS with a 34 tackle rating (LB 90 is probably credited with a missed tackle here but it should be an assist at least):
https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/gamecenter/view/974#196018There are also other examples where the RB makes good yardage (SF seems to like this play!).
My point is that anyone can break a tackle every once in a while. Event Danny Woodhead breaks tackles.
I think there is a good ratio right now.
Sometimes I like to imagine actually watching the play happen in the NFL. Would I be surprised if Danny Woodhead was able to break a tackle by Ray Lewis? Sure. Would I think it was unrealistic? No. There is a certain unpredictability to every play that is what makes watching the games great, and makes MFN great as well.
