PISCATAWAY, NJ — The Maulers secured a 22-13 victory over the Generals in a Week 3 regular season game on September 18, 2022. The win moves the Maulers to a 2-1 record and leads their division standings, while the Generals fall to 2-1 with a one-game losing streak.

The Maulers jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter. At 10:12, quarterback Bradley Bennett threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to fullback David Esparza, who made a key move to evade coverage. Michael Campos's extra point was good, putting the Maulers ahead 7-0. Campos added three field goals during the game, each from 50 yards out, contributing all 11 of the Maulers' other points. His reliable kicking kept pressure on the Generals' defense throughout the first half.

The Maulers controlled the ground game, carrying 48 times for 273 yards, highlighted by Myron Schumacher's 139 rushing yards and Alfredo Evans' 93 yards and a touchdown reception.
