In a defensive battle at Denver, the Force secured a 23-6 victory over the Gold in the World Bowl XLVI elimination game on January 23, 2022. The Force utilized effective special teams and key defensive plays to control the game.

The Force opened the scoring with a 53-yard field goal by Donald Doubledoink at 10:24 in the first quarter. Gold responded with a 35-yard field goal from Allan Hawk in the final minutes of the period, tying the score at 3-3.

Throughout the first half, both teams struggled to establish offensive momentum. The Gold quarterback Barton McDonnell completed 16 of 35 passes for 162 yards but threw two interceptions. The Force quarterback George Coulter completed 29 of 39 passes for 270 yards and one touchdown. Both teams failed to convert any third downs, with Gold going 0-for-0 and Force similarly without conversions.

Force regained the lead early in the second quarter with another field goal by Doubledoink from 48 yards out. The critical moment came in the final minute of the half when George Coulter connected with Brett Cartwright on a 23-yard touchdown pass. Donald Doubledoink added the extra point to give Force a 13-3 lead at halftime.

Gold's defense recorded two interceptions and recovered two fumbles during the contest. The defense also registered three sacks while the offense managed 12 carries for 90 yards but was unable to score a touchdown.

In the third quarter, Gold added another field goal by Hawk from 47 yards, closing the gap to 13-6. However, Force's defense continued to apply pressure, recording nine sacks and a forced fumble by linebacker Gregory Harger.

The fourth quarter featured no scoring as Force's defense stifled the Gold offense. The special teams played a role in field position with multiple punts and fair catches.

Force finished with 270 passing yards and a touchdown, aided by receivers Xavier Restrepo with 95 yards and tight end Donald Gutierrez with 79 yards. Gold's top receiver was tight end Kenny Katchett with 65 yards.

The victory eliminates the Gold from playoff contention and advances the Force in the World Bowl XLVI.

The game was marked by disciplined special teams and defensive resilience by Force under coach Jeremy Ramirez, as well as significant offensive challenges for Gold's Robert Tovar-led squad.
