Searching for my replacement

Does anyone here want to take over running the USFL? I'm getting burnt out on MFN as a whole and I'm looking to lessen my load. I would like to keep my team if possible but I no longer think I'm the best person to see this league forward.

I don't know why hammond left when he did but the timing leads me to believe it was due to my CSB drama. I have also had zero interest in the available teams not named Pittsburgh, and while there may be several reasons for that, I'm sure my behavior doesn't help.

Overall it's getting harder and harder to game plan, deal with free agency, etc without it feeling like an unpaid 2nd job. A lot of days I "resent" MFN for taking up so much of my time. Part of it is the game is stale to me, part of it is dealing with mental cases like CSB/GDB when I'm probably a mental case myself, and part of it is other interests are taking up more of my time.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently, this is not a knee jerk reaction to an altercation. This is what's best for the league going forward as you guys deserve better than what I can currently give now and in the near future.

I'm not looking for pats on the back or words of encouragement, I'm simply looking for someone to take my MFN job from me.

Well, this is a scary premise because you're the most level headed league admin out there. You're calm and fair. I've seen how other league admins operate and Bruno will tell you - never trust the chatterboxes.

My favorite McNugget kept trying to figure out Bruno's plans so he could ban any little avenue the elite GMs take for an edge; as if all the other stuff he's implementing isn't enough. But, hey, what do I know - I've got a frail game plan lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I'm frail at 10k, God bless the rest of ya'll.

You, CJ, not many more stable and fair league admins after that.

Maybe there is another solution but I can't think of one right now. Could be nobody wants to do it, and if that's the case I'd keep running it. I would hope the new guy would not rock the boat too much as we have a great, competitive league. Obviously it would be out of my hands once a switch is made, but if the new guy is too heavy handed, owners will leave.

Actually hammond didn’t leave. At least that’ what he told me.

And I totally get you greg, i had to cut my teams for the same reasons. Good luck

What happened then? I certainly did not kick him out, just checked the page and he was gone as owner.

What's strange is he doesn't appear in the sign up block section.

It's a delicate balance. I joined some leagues with different owners to be able to recruit people here as needed, but I bit off more than I can chew and I'm not even able to get owners from those leagues.

Perhaps I should just give up a few of my other teams and concentrate on getting USFL back to where I want it. I'm just not sure if that will work or not.

I have slept on it and I am 100% sure I want to lessen my MFN time, just not sure exactly how I'm gonna do it.

There are a lot of things I started to do and stopped doing in USFL, like All Pro teams and the Hall of Fame. I have wanted to restart those for awhile but have never found the time/energy/willingness at the same time to do it. Now we have our 30th season coming to an end, and I wanted to celebrate that all next season, but I'm finding myself unmotivated.

That's a big reason why I feel I've let you all down, and now we are having more openings than ever before and it feels like my fault.

At the same time, I feel I'd be quitting on what I started by leaving. One thing I do know is I'll never finish what I started if I don't eliminate something. Since I quit caring about wins/losses awhile ago, it seems I should simply eliminate some of my other teams. I actually did cut 1 team already, the UK league. That season just concluded and only 12-13 owners remained.

I think I may have an idea on how to split my load even more and still remain commish, I'll have to talk to someone first.
