Any potential Issues with 4.6??? Post them here

If anyone can think of any potential issues/loopholes in 4.6 that I need to address with a rule, please post them here. The preseason is the time to look for and fix anything that might tarnish our regular season.

If anyone finds themselves with a difference of opinion than someone else, please keep it civil.

Nobody has any issues or questions? If anything comes up during the season, the Big Data League will likely find it first, so I will likely follow whatever that league does regarding rules. There are still questions whether or not 4.6 has fixed the punt block issue, Seth is compiling data on that, but for now feel free to try and block punts.

We are all in the same boat, playing a new game engine where we don't know exactly where the bugs are. This first season will probably be a feeling out process as we find what works and what doesn't. Normally I won't change things during a season and I don't want to do it now, but if somewhere in MFN people find an exploitable loophole, I want to close it.

Punt Timing for punters.

In my other leagues it is highly publicized that this needs to be close to 100. This affects their potential to be blocked. Looking at my game log for game 1, this was an issue for my opponent whose punter had Timing of 89 on punter. In 4.6 timing matters more.

Note that it was a DB who blocked his punts. This was not intentional on my behalf and had to do with fatigue and lack of blockers that he was in on those downs. However in 4.6 speed should have been nerfed for this situation, except if your punter has low punt timing. To my understanding this Stat is tied to how long they take to kick the ball. Similar to release for a QB.

Yeah I've read that too, which is why I was scared to draft this punter I took. DB's are allowed anywhere on special teams now so that's not an issue. Punt blocks can and should happen from time to time, it becomes a problem when it's done repeatedly.

The takeaway is check your punter's timing and act accordingly.

It takes a lot to get them. I've had the perfect storm a sim cycle or two ago: QB #1 @ Punter. We need to have fun. My man trslick doesn't even want to watch games any more.

Therefore, if it's a non-punter - bam - have at him.

I bl-bl-blasted the QB #1 @ Punter for 16 punt blocks due to ultimate fatigue + ultimate non-position.

You can only hit it from the previously 2 legal wing spots, basically.

Not until I read this did I think to check who the punter was, turns out it was not a punter at all. Makes sense why the blocks happened now.

In the last 3 weeks, I have had QB's going down to injury, is that a change with 4.6?

I think they run more and get sacked more. Seems reasonable with me contact that there would be more injury.

MMM check your plays.

You're either feeding the opposing team like BG did for Seth with the 212 Long Passes (i.e. steady stream of sack producing plays)

or...

it's coming when the QB scrambles and now the engine sees him as an RB ball carrier.

Definitely a lot more sacks happening now. I love that QBs will tuck the ball in and run at times now. Awesome!
