Do we need to drop any custom rules when 4.6 comes out next season?

Like the title says, do we need to drop any/all custom rules? I played a little Beta, didn't like it, but it will be here at the start of next season. The punt block exploit should be closed among other fixes and the time to discuss keeping or scrapping our custom rules is now, so we hopefully have a smooth transition.

One rule I would like to keep is the RB must be labelled as a RB. The anti tanking rule stays as well but I think we can lift the weight restrictions.

What do you guys think? I want your opinions as long as nobody "attacks" anyone who disagrees with them. Gotta keep this civil.

Personally, I'm removing all custom rules from my leagues. I've found 4.6 to be boring, with increased running, sacks and defense and passing is nerfed to the point 300 yard passing games are non-existent 4,000 passing for a season is impossible and 25 TD passes mean MVP level production.

Tony Dean's Alltime records will be safe and I hope he retires at the end of the season!

I'm not thrilled about the switch myself but I also doubt I would remember to PM JDB after every season so we can stay with 4.5.

Yeah, it is what it is!

Maybe everyone will love it but if ownership drops off I wouldn't be surprised.

4.6 clearly has issues with passing but their has been a strong vocal group to push for the release and force everyone to play it.

I'm removing all rules so everyone can try anything to get offense because from what I've seen...it's a bunch of 13-10 defensive battles when anyone who watches football knows that's not where the NFL game is going.

If you watched my Ravens last night come back from 22-3 and Lamar Jackson throw for over 400 yards and 4 TD passes to win....keep watching the NFL because that won't ever happen in 4.6!!!

I haven't figured out how to crack the 300 yard mark routinely yet, but I've noticed some definite exploits with 4.6 that will be interesting once people figure out how to make them work consistently.

Then we'll have one team averaging 400 pass yards per game while everyone else is averaging 125. It will be epic. Not a good epic. But epic nonetheless.

Yeah, that's my problem!!!

This is a football sim/game and it's suppose to be fun for everyone. I or you or anyone can have individual success but leagues can't survive with a few owners playing.

Leauge of Legends have been actively using Beta for 3 seasons without much success passing the ball. Thats the basline/norm...you going indepth and cracking the passing game is one thing but what about average owners....20 minute a day owners???

Last season in the USFL we had 24 QBs throw for over 3,000 yards including 8 QBs over 4,000 and includes 3 over 5,000!

14 QBs threw at least 20 TD passes including 9 that threw at least 30 and 4 that threw at least 40.

The last thing is 6 QBs got sacked at least 20 times including 1 with had over 30 (32)

Compare that to the 3rd season of using Beta in league of Legends. That's 3 full seasons to figure out what works and what doesn't.

19 QBs threw for at least 2,000 yards including 8 QBs who threw for over 3,000 yards and nobody broke 4,000.

14 QBs threw for at least 10 TD passes including 1 QB who threw for over 20 with 22.

13 QBs got sacked at least 30 times including 10 who got sacked at least 40 which includes 6 with at least 50 which includes 4 with at least 60 which includes 2 with at least 70 and 1 with at least 80.

It's not good for the health of this game IMO.

It'll certainly be a challenge.
