gg Portland. I didn't like Denver's chances for that game, playing the Storm 3 times in a season is way too much.

Congratulations to Houston, Denver, Florida and Baltimore for advancing to Conference Championship Weekend. Three of you had very tough teams to get through and it's not Baltimore's fault they got a free pass by playing my Generals and their leaky defense.

Good luck tonight as at least 1 of you will be going for your first ever USFL World Bowl trophy. If Florida wins it all, it will be the 2nd for the franchise, but the first for zimmer89, as the Blazers won the very first World Bowl over the Chicago Blitz. The Owner/GM of our very first champions? None other than our league's Founding Father, tribewriter.

If Florida doesn't win tonight, then Baltimore will be trying for their first championship in their 3rd try, having lost World Bowl XV to Houston and XVI to Portland.

If Denver defeats Houston, the Gold will play in their 2nd World Bowl, having lost World Bowl X to New Jersey. In fact, that's one of only 3 World Bowls won by a national Conference team in 18 seasons. That World Bowl was under the leadership of AlexanDragon, and vcr5150 has yet to reach a World Bowl himself.

If Houston wins tonight, they will be looking to join Memphis as a 5 time Champion. Setherick won World Bowl IX while Cjfred68 won World Bowl XI, XII, and XV.

We are going to have a great match up between great teams no matter what.

Good luck to Florida. I actually felt kind of bad about winning that championship during the first season. When the commissioner wins a league title, sometimes it raises suspicions. But, at that point, I had no idea what an "exploit" or a "FL Hitch" was. I was probably just really invested in the Blazers since I was the guy who started the league.

I almost wrote about a "conspiracy theory" involving you winning it all year 1, but sometimes sarcasm is missed on the internet, and I didn't want you to think I was serious.

Good Luck VCR in the Conference championship game. I feel like I will need luck to pull this one out as you have your team dialed in this season. 3 game sweep of Portland is impressive and you already put me away earlier this season.

I will need Tony "MVP" Dean to show up big if I'm gonna get the win!

Congratulations to Denver and Baltimore on making World Bowl XIX. One of you will be hoisting the World Bowl trophy for the first time in franchise history.

Congrats also to Houston and Florida. While your seasons ended earlier than you wanted, both of you have excellent teams that will be in the running for World Bowl XX.

Thanks CJ. That was a real coin-flipper. Literally. Congrats on a great season.

I thought Denver blew their chance in the 2nd quarter - 7 point lead and the ball at the 40 yard line. A FG before half would have given us a 10 point lead and the ball to start the 3rd. After a 3 & out - Houston went down and scored a game tying TD.

Even though Denver benefitted this time - I do hate NFL overtime. I think college football gets it more right.

So the reward for escaping against the Storm & Gamblers? A game with 4343's Stars. They have a 50+ margin of victory in their 2 playoff games, and the cornerstone of my team (Peralta) has a knee injury. Ugh.
