I find it strange that Orlando is looking for a QB after signing Trey Lyons during Free Agency, when Washington decided not to extend his contract. In my opinion you have your QB for the future, now. (Lyons)

I was just offering my honest opinion, while I have many holes as an owner and I am far from the best out there. I am sort of a quarterback whisperer.

I've had incredible success throughout all my leagues developing QBs. I have the Alltime leading passer in the XFL and Quick and the Dead both entering season 15. The 2nd Alltime leading passer in World and Champions both entering season 9 and I'm 14 alltime passing in the USFL which is entering its 19th season (my 9th). I'm currently on pace to reach either #1 or #2 depending on when Tony Dean retires.

My success has hinged on having QBs with near 100 pass accuracy, field of vision, look off defense and intelligence.

Speed and scramble are 5th and 6th

Arm strength, avoid fumble, pass release, hard count are nearly meaningless to me. Tony Dean has 66 arm strength and 34 avoid fumble. He consistently is top 3 in passing yards and always near the top in TDs, completion percentage, yards per attempt and passer rating. He has 5 career fumbles during 8,343 snaps.

I have no doubt who you are selecting is a 1st round pick, my opinion is he isnt the #1 overall pick because (like you said) he can never be elite and he definately isn't worth 3 1st round picks plus a 2nd. Only Henderson at QB has a chance to become elite.

I was just offering my educated opinion since you posted who you were taking and I assumed you wanted honest feedback.

On the plus side, he will have 100 pass accuracy and be ready week 1 boom or bust.

Good luck with your pick

I wasn't criticising you CJ, I'm well aware of your record and your success with QB's. QB is a strange position in MFN, certainly the most complex to weight. I'm happy with my choice (to be confirmed) and appreciate everyone taking the time to advise. In my opinion, there is not enough discussion as to what to look for in a player.

I do have a good insight into what is coming with the next version of the game as the three leagues I currently admin have all switched to BETA already. With sacks on the rise massively (currently slowing the release to the masses as they are too high now), the sacks make avoid fumble a more relevant stat - so I'm future-proofing to a certain extent.

I see Howard as a good 0.4.5 QB but will be better in 0.4.6 - but all that could change at the tap of a keystroke if JDB brings sacks back to the level of 0.4.5

I have to agree with this. Lyons is a 5th year player with 87 intelligence, 100 pass accuracy, look off defense and even arm strength that you like. His field of vision sucks but he can start now and is signed for 6 seasons.

What about Lyons?

Maybe, it's certainly a possibility. Especially if Howard fails to cut the mustard. It was a position that needed to be addressed for the long term - hopefully one of them will nail it down.

Plus if Howard pans out I have Lyons and Howard as trade bait to get back some of the draft stock I've given up.

I didn't think you were critiquing or criticizing me admiral. You traded for the #1 overall pick and its gonna be the single biggest decision you will make for this francise.

Like crazyrazor said, you have a decent 5th year QB on the roster and I just want you to hear some counter arguments before you pull the trigger on the QB.

I see you have a +90 speed RB and WR as weapons and another +90 speed playmaker coupled with Lyons could really open up the offense.

Just food for thought, whatever decision you make for your team is the right choice because you made it. Just wanted to give you a point/counterpoint argument from the outside.

Appreciate that. :o)

I think it's going to take three seasons to really get this team the way I want it to play, we've made some significant moves in the off season.

The quality of owners in here is off the charts for excellence, I'll be happy to be better than .500 here. The Renegades fans have suffered over the years. I'm looking to change that and become a perennial playoff team - 'Shoot for the Stars, you might make it to the moon'

You clearly weren't here for the Mckeon year where he had 70+ sacks in a season....lol

This league is well versed in monster sack numbers

Maybe you are right....looking at your Victory league....passing numbers **** the big one....nobody over 4000 yards or 30 TD passes.

Maybe you get a heads up on everyone playing for the future. I will adjust when the time comes until then I can only play under the version we are under.

I just hope 4.6 isn't another 4.4 upon release. That was a dark time in MFN and the reason 4.6 has been delayed so long.
