our second game at the helm of the philadelphia bell and we managed to secure our first victory,we wasnt expecting too much after our first defeat against coach royce last week but we soon discovered breakers are a team like ourselves in rebuild mode, missing several key players back up half back moon got the start and took full advantage of his opportunity carrying 16 times for 154 yards and hauling in 10 recptions for another 50.moon rightly got the mvp but true be told this was quite a complete performance from the whole team and something we will be looking to build on next week against the tough bulls.gardiner now has the decision to make keep moon at #1 on half back depth or returning stud brown getting inserted back into line up.
as mentioned before limited cap space prevents any major additions but its rumoured gardiner is trawling the trade block trying to pick up some cheap additions to his roster.
whilst we have mentioned moon great outing seems ideal time to address bells running back depth.firstly this room is a bit light we only have 2 guys under contract.we have richard brown top of the depth chart, was one of colleges top players and was drafted early by force and subsequently traded to bell hes been solid bell cow for us but as he enters contract year and with him getting up their in age,the bell would like to bring him back but at right price whether front office can get this done remains to be seen.the second player on our depth is james moon was drafted by philadelphia in 4th round and seems ideal for spelling brown when he needs a breather,it remains to be seen if last weeks perofrmance was him turning the corner or just a career day for the young back.the jurys out but gives the bell faithful a bit of comfort but if brown walks or goes down they have young able guy tied up for a couple of years
