Detroit completes the first 16-0 season in league history (but just barely), an old-timer breaks the league's passing record, a preview of the wild card round, and how 'bout UKRAIN? All that in today's blog.

I'm in the middle of reading the blog when I came across an incorrect fact. It states "The Tampa Bay Bandits steamrolled Shreveport, 50-9, to set a record for most points scored in a season. Tampa Bay accumulated 712 points (44.5 per game), scoring 50 or more points six times and a league-record 70 against Portland".

League record? No. Season high? Probably, though I didn't check. What I did check was my previous seasons as I remembered topping 70 vs Philadelphia once.

That 1976 game was 72-0, though I thought maybe Chicago or Detroit had scored more. Chicago hasn't but in 1976, Detroit crushed the Sun 76-0. https://usflwfl.myfootballnow.com/box/857

The Generals are correct. Please transfer my Trophy and cash winnings for most points scored in a game.

You fellas are correct. Points in a season, not points in a game.

I'm very surprised that Detroit managed to go 16-0, there were a lot of games I thought I would lose... The ball has bounced my way this year, and I can hope that it can comtinue through the playoffs, but I doubt I'll pull out the perfect season...

When I joined the league, I did some research on the ill-fated Wheels. They were the worst team in the WFL, a league that was destined to fail. For those of you interested in reading about just how bad they were: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Wheels I'm happy I've kind of redeemed them, if only in a simulated game in front of a few people...
