According to MFN only the Cleveland Trainwreck, aka Thunderbolts have been eliminated. We still have 6 weeks to play and lots of various scenarios could happen but for this early look, we'll focus on teams playing at least .500.

American Conference

Division Leaders: Honolulu (8-2), Oakland (5-5), San Antonio (10-0), Michigan/Chicago (6-4 each)

In the Hunt (in order of record): Memphis (9-1), Houston (8-2), Los Angeles (7-2-1), San Jose (7-3), Southern California (5-5), Oklahoma (5-5)

Still mathematically alive but need wins and help: Portland (3-7), Denver (2-8), Arizona (2-8), Detroit (1-9)

Trainwreck: Cleveland (0-10)

The Pacific division has 3 teams within 1 game as mwd has done a nice job with LA to make this a 3 team race. Calebbwill is doing well in Southern California considering his divisional/conference competition but .500 won't make the playoffs unless you're in the West this season.

Speaking of the West, Oakland has a 2 game lead on Portland and they're 4-0 in division so they're the likely West winner.

The Southwest division finally has some competition for toughest division now that the Pacific also has all 4 teams .500 or better. This division's top still has better overall records than their counterparts further west but that won't matter come playoff time, or will it? The defending champs San Antonio are on quite a roll with their 10-0 start. Memphis is 9-1, losing only to San Antonio while Houston sits in 3rd with an 8-2 record. Even Oklahoma is 5-5 after an 0-4 start to the season and can't be counted out, although .500 won't get it done.

The Midwest is a 2 team race between Michigan and Chicago. They have yet to play each other so this could go either way.

National Conference

Clinched Division: New Orleans (8-1-1)

Division Leaders: Orlando (9-1), Washington (8-2), Philadelphia (8-2)

In the hunt (in order of record): Jacksonville (7-3), New Jersey (6-3-1), Tampa Bay (6-4), Pittsburgh (5-4-1)

Mathematically alive but need wins and help: Florida (3-7), Baltimore (3-7), Birmingham (2-8), Shreveport (2-8), Charlotte (2-8), Boston (2-8), New York (2-8), Georgia (1-9)

Here it looks like realistically it's 8 teams fighting for 7 spots with 6 games to go. Too many games left to go in depth with remaining schedules, etc.

Orlando leads the Southeast by 2 games over Jacksonville with a win over the Bulls. Jacksonville currently has the top wildcard spot and Tampa Bay has the last wildcard spot.

New Orleans has already clinched the South and is in the running for home field advantage, currently held by Orlando.

Washington looks in control of the Atlantic with a 2.5 game lead on Pittsburgh. The Maulers have lost 3 in a row and are currently the #8 seed and would miss the playoffs if they started now.

Philadelphia has a 1.5 game lead on New Jersey but the Generals are 3-0 in division, including a win over the Bell. The Generals are the current #6 seed.

American Conference

Clinched Division: San Antonio (13-0), Michigan (9-4), Oakland (6-7)

In the Hunt: Honolulu (11-2), Los Angeles (9-3-1), San Jose (9-4), Southern California (7-6), Houston (10-3), Memphis (9-4), Oklahoma (7-6)

Southern California and Oklahoma have their work cut out for them and if I knew how to calculate playoff chance percentage, I'd bet theirs is around 10%. They both need wins and 2 teams ahead of them to basically collapse.

The Pacific and Southwest both have all 4 teams in contention and despite having 9 wins already, one of the current 9+ win teams will be home in January. Right now, MFN says it would be Memphis out.

Michigan wins the tiebreaker over Chicago even if they lose to the Blitz tonight. At best, Chicago can tie with an identical division record but they will lose tiebreaker based on conference record or net points, whichever is used first.

Honolulu should clinch a playoff spot with 1 win in their last 3 games or losses by the right teams.

The tie LA had with New Jersey could benefit them as it puts them half a game ahead of 9-4 San Jose and Memphis.

Oakland wins the West as they swept Portland and own the tiebreaker.

San Antonio has clinched the Southwest but the rest of the division is in the wildcard race.

Remaining schedules

Honolulu: @Denver (2-11), vs Los Angeles (9-3-1), @ New York (2-11)
Los Angeles: @Memphis (9-4), @ Honolulu (11-2), @ Southern California (7-6)
San Jose: @ Southern California (7-6), vs San Antonio (13-0), @ New Jersey (8-4-1)
Southern California: vs San Jose (9-4), @ Boston (2-11), vs Los Angeles (9-3-1)

Houston: @ Oklahoma (7-6), @ Memphis (9-4), @ San Antonio (13-0)
Memphis: vs Los Angeles (9-3-1), vs Houston (10-3), vs Oklahoma (7-6)
Oklahoma: vs Houston (10-3), @ Portland (3-10), @ Memphis (9-4)

National Conference

Clinched Division: New Orleans (11-1-1), Washington (11-2), Philadelphia (11-2)

Clinched Playoff Spot: Orlando (11-2), Jacksonville (10-3)

In the Hunt: New Jersey (8-4-1), Pittsburgh (7-5-1), Tampa Bay (7-6), Florida (6-7)

Orlando and Jacksonville split their 2 games and the tiebreakers are unclear as of now. Both teams will be playing in January but future results will determine which team gets a home game wildcard round.

The other 3 divisions have been clinched so we'll focus on the wildcard race. Orlando or Jacksonville get 1 wildcard spot, leaving New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, and Florida fighting for 2 spots.

Florida has the toughest road, being down 1.5 games with 3 to go. New Jersey and Pittsburgh play each other tonight so either the Generals solidify their wildcard spot or they come back to the pack, giving hope to the Bandits and Blazers. Plus a loss to Pittsburgh means New Jersey would fall below them and lose a tiebreaker (they both have a tie on their record).

Remaining Schedules

Orlando: @ Washington (11-2), vs Philadelphia (11-2), @ Tampa Bay (7-6)
Jacksonville: @ Birmingham (2-11), vs Tampa Bay (7-6), vs Florida (6-7)
Tampa Bay @ Portland (3-10), @ Jacksonville (10-3), vs Orlando (11-2)
Florida: vs Georgia (2-11), @ Shreveport (3-10), @ Jacksonville (10-3)

Pittsburgh: vs New Jersey (8-4-1), @ Chicago (6-7), vs Baltimore (3-10)
New Jersey: @ Pittsburgh (7-5-1), vs Washington (11-2), vs San Jose (9-4)

I hate getting sidetracked by stupid **** but here we are. Need to get back to actual football game topics instead of sleazy trolls ruining teams.

I think we have a standings glitch in the American Conference as I don't think Oklahoma is quite eliminated yet. If they beat Memphis and San Antonio beats Houston, we'll have a 3 way tie for 2nd place in the Southwest. Tiebreakers could be more interesting if San Jose loses to New Jersey to also be 10-6. It's late for me and I'm not about to try and figure it all out now. Let's just say if you have 10 wins in the American Conference you're gonna want to win in Week 16.

American Conference

Clinched Home Field Advantage: San Antonio (15-0)

Clinched Division: Honolulu (13-2), Michigan (11-4), Oakland (7-8)

Wildcard Race Teams: Los Angeles (10-4-1), San Jose (10-5), Memphis (10-5), Houston (10-5), Oklahoma (9-6)

Los Angeles: Beat Southern California and they are in for sure thanks to their tie. If they lose to the Sun, they need 1 of the 10-5 teams to lose, doesn't matter which one.

San Jose: They need to win and hope one of Memphis or Houston loses to avoid tiebreakers keeping them home in January. Not saying the tiebreakers wouldn't go their way, I honestly don't know and it's too late in my day to figure it out.

Oklahoma @ Memphis Memphis needs to win and hope one of San Jose or Houston lose, otherwise they are at risk of tiebreaker heartbreak. If Oklahoma wins, they could be in a tiebreaker if Houston and/or San Jose also lose.

Houston: All Houston has to do is beat 15-0 San Antonio and hope one of Memphis or San Jose lose. If they lose, same thing. MFN currently lists Houston as #8 seed, out of the playoffs but that could change depending on results.

National Conference

Division Champs: New Orleans (13-1-1), Washington (13-2), Philadelphia (12-3)

In the Playoffs: Orlando (12-3), Jacksonville (12-3), Pittsburgh (9-5-1)

In the Hunt: New Jersey (8-6-1), Tampa Bay (8-7)

New Orleans: Beat Georgia and get home field advantage and the BYE. If they lose, they need Washington to also lose.

Washington: Need to win and have New Orleans lose for first round BYE and home field advantage.

Orlando and Jacksonville: Both teams are playoff bound but who hosts a playoff game and gets division champion hats and shirts? They split their 2 games and will have the same division and conference record if they both have the same result. Orlando plays Tampa while Jacksonville plays Florida.

New Jersey: Beat San Jose and they're in. Lose and they're still in if Orlando beats Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay: Need to beat Orlando and have San Jose beat New Jersey to get in.

San Jose: Did not play Memphis, Houston, or Oklahoma this year. If the tie is 10-6, San Jose would have a better conference record than all 3 Southwest teams. If the tie is 11-5, they will all have the same conference record and go on to the next tiebreaker which I believe is net points for MFN.

Memphis: Memphis split with Houston and beat Oklahoma the first game, with game two tonight. If Memphis wins they will get 2nd place in the division as they'd have a better division record than Houston.

Houston: Best case scenario is they beat San Antonio while Oklahoma beats Memphis. If both Houston and Memphis win, Houston is 3rd in the division and will need to scoreboard watch and hope tiebreakers fall their way.

Oklahoma: If they beat Memphis and Houston loses to 15-0 San Antonio, the Ouitlaws jump to 2nd place and a probable wildcard. This would create a 3 way tie and the Outlaws 3-3 division record would win the tiebreaker.

Talk about backing into a playoff spot, New Jersey gets the #7 seed despite being on a 3 game losing streak. Not good coming in cold as 10 of 14 playoff teams have at least a 2 game win streak with 2 other teams winning in Week 16 to come in on a positive note. Only New Jersey and Philadelphia are coming in cold and the Bell likely benched some key players since they had the East wrapped up a few games ago.

We'll be one and done most likely.
