World Bowl XXXII

Philadelphia Bell (16-2) vs Houston Gamblers (16-2)

Point Spread: Houston -2

Philadelphia: Offense 8th Defense 4th
Houston: Offense 1st Defense 20th

Playoff Records: Philadelphia 4-8 Houston 41-15

World Bowl Records: Philadelphia 0-0 Houston 8-0 (Won: IX, XI, XII, XV, XXI, XXII, XXIII, XXVI)

Head to Head: Houston is 6-2 all time vs Philadelphia, winning in 1975, 1983, 1987, 1991, 1995, and 1999. Philadelphia beat Houston in 1979 and 2003.

Injuries: Philadelphia 2 probable, 1 questionable, 1 doubtful Houston 3 probable, 2 questionable

Prediction: Houston 31 Philadelphia 28

In real life, the World Bowl experience of Houston would be the media's main point on why most are picking them to win, especially since Philadelphia has never been before. In MFN, it comes down to players, strategies, and RNG luck. CJ and Lemon have demonstrated their strategy skill across many leagues and I'd probably call that a draw. With no way of knowing which way the rng luck falls, I'm picking Houston because of their explosive offense. In a shootout, I like their chances to outscore anyone while a defensive struggle just means they're more likely to crack the scoreboard.

Best of luck to both teams. Houston may be 8-0 in World Bowls but they haven't won one this century, last hoisting the trophy following the 1999 season. This ties the longest drought in franchise history once they won their first, as they went 5 seasons between 1989 and 1993 before winning 3 straight titles.

Philadelphia is obviously seeking their first, and while the Bell are a top team in the league, they need to take advantage of this opportunity to become champs, as the National Conference has it's share of skilled owners ready and able to win it all. It's difficult just to reach this point.

The National Conference is 24-7 in the previous 31 World Bowls. The conferences have split the last 8 after the National Conference won 20 of the first 23, including 13 in a row.

Good luck Lemon, I'm locked & loaded and set up my entire game plan down to overrides & rules.

Nothing more I can do but cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Houston may be 8-0 in the World Bowl but it's been 6 seasons like Greg said and only 10 players remain from my last Championship.

Gus "Highest" Gas
&
Xavier "X" Factor

From my offense & defense plus both kickers and 4 offensive linemen!

MILESTONE WATCH:

K Earl Castro is in his 14th season and needs 4 more fieldgoals to tie (K John Bazille) for the most Alltime in postseason history. He is also looking for his 5th ring with Houston.

CB Xavier "X" Factor has 111 tackles in the postseason which ranks him tied for 7th Alltime. He needs 3 more tackles to move into a tie for 6th Alltime with LDE David Jaquez who currently plays with the Voodoo (6 seasons) but was originally drafted and played parts of 7 seasons with the Storm. X would need to really become a major factor to reach 5th Alltime since he is 15 tackles away. He was a rookie on the last Gambler's team to win it all.

WR Gus "Highest" Gas was also a rookie on the last Gambler's team to win it all and he currently sits 10th Alltime in Total yards in the postseason (1,734). He needs just 23 Total yards to move into 9th, 97 Total yards to move into 8th and is 269 Total yards away from moving into 7th Alltime in Total yards. Gas also currently sits at 21st Alltime in Total TDs but just needs 1 more TD to move into a tie for 12th & 2 TDs to move into a tie for 10th Alltime in Total TDs.

Gas also sits 11th Alltime in postseason KO return yards (361) and is tied for 3rd Alltime in postseason KO return TDs (1). If he can manage a KO return TD in the World Bowl, he could move as high as 4th Alltime in KO return yards and would tie the Alltime record for KO return TDs in the postseason with RB Richard Sutton & WR Jeffrey Gentry.
