In real life, the World Bowl experience of Houston would be the media's main point on why most are picking them to win, especially since Philadelphia has never been before. In MFN, it comes down to players, strategies, and RNG luck. CJ and Lemon have demonstrated their strategy skill across many leagues and I'd probably call that a draw. With no way of knowing which way the rng luck falls, I'm picking Houston because of their explosive offense. In a shootout, I like their chances to outscore anyone while a defensive struggle just means they're more likely to crack the scoreboard.
Best of luck to both teams. Houston may be 8-0 in World Bowls but they haven't won one this century, last hoisting the trophy following the 1999 season. This ties the longest drought in franchise history once they won their first, as they went 5 seasons between 1989 and 1993 before winning 3 straight titles.
Philadelphia is obviously seeking their first, and while the Bell are a top team in the league, they need to take advantage of this opportunity to become champs, as the National Conference has it's share of skilled owners ready and able to win it all. It's difficult just to reach this point.
The National Conference is 24-7 in the previous 31 World Bowls. The conferences have split the last 8 after the National Conference won 20 of the first 23, including 13 in a row.
