Oklahoma last lost a meaningful game in the 2000 Wildcard Round, falling to the Portland Storm 29-24. The Outlaws did lose a preseason game in 2001 to Philadelphia but obviously those don't count. Oklahoma finished 2001 as 19-0 Champions, giving them the 3rd longest win streak in league history.
With their 2-0 start to this season the streak is now 21 and counting, but getting to 24 or higher won't be easy. I don't see a single easy victory on their schedule, starting with the 8 time Champion Houston Gamblers. They do have three 0-2 teams on the schedule but all 3 were playoff teams a year ago and are still dangerous. In fact one of the 0-2 teams, Memphis, just played Oklahoma and stayed close, losing 14-10. If Oklahoma does reach 24, they will face Smirt while trying to get #25. I don't care what his record is, he's always tough to beat.
If they are to break the 27 game win streak of the 1976-78 Detroit Wheels, game #28 is against Memphis. In fact 5 of their next 7 games are against 2001 playoff teams.
There is no way he's going 19-0 again right? Right? Back to back titles are certainly within the realm of possibility, but back to back perfect seasons in this league? That would be quite an accomplishment. Good luck AG.
