You just made CJ's day with that pic. Wasn't that the year Siragusa fell on Gannon's shoulder, knocking him out of the AFC Championship Game? Once Bobby Hoying went under center it was over.

I know of the DILF but this super bowl was when I was a preschooler so I'm not sure about specifics

2000 Ravens was one of the ALLTIME best defenses!!! 165 points allowed all season including 4 shutouts. We went 5 straight games without scoring a TD and went 2-3 during that stretch.

They gave up 23 points in 4 playoff games including the Giants 7 points in the Superbowl which came on a KO return TD. So the defense averaged 4 points allowed/game and barring that special teams gaff...they pitched a shutout in the Superbowl.

The Giants won 41-0 in the NFC Conference Championship game, I lived in New York at the time and made thousands on bets!!!! I will always love Trent Dilfer for that!!!

I googled it as my memory isn't the greatest with dates/years. It was the 2001 AFC Championship when Siragusa ensured Ravens victory with his late hit that knocked Gannon out of the game. https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/2001/0114/1015509.html

This play doesn't **** me off as much as the Tuck Rule BS but it's in the top 3.

It wasn't a late hit, it was illegal where he jumped up and allowed all 350 pounds of himself to land squarely on Gannon which luckily didn't kill him!

We were winning 7-0 at the time so unlike the tuck rule this wasn't a victory stolen away from you.

That's why it doesn't make me as mad. It did steal any chance of a victory though. Raiders had a chance of winning with Gannon playing all game but with Bobby Hoying, that chance went to zero.

I don't think about this play much but I will never forget it.

I don't remember the names, Wheatley maybe and someone else led that team with their rushing. I know that averaged like 150 a game or close.

I don't think the Ravens defense was the greatest ever but they may have been the greatest rush defense ever. I believe the Raiders rushed for 24 yards that game.

I listen to Gannon everyday on the NFL network on XM and he has often said he doesn't think getting hurt changed the outcome. I have a ton of respect for Gannon.

The Tuck rule however was a screw job and cost you the game, period

That's his opinion and he's entitled to it. Doesn't matter since it won't change the outcome either way.
