Looking at Southern California, the Sun started 1-7 but have won 3 of their last 4. Even their losses are narrowing, They had 2 ugly losses in their 0-4 start, but their last 4 losses have been by 6,4,6, and 12 points with both 6 point losses coming in OT. Those last 4 losses were also to pretty good teams, losing in OT to Los Angeles and New Jersey, losing by 4 to Honolulu and 12 to San Jose. Dfisherman is obviously still fighting, kudos.
Oakland had a pretty tough schedule so far. Six of their first 7 games were against current playoff teams and they went 2-4 in those games while also beating Honolulu who is a playoff contender. The Invaders finish with 4 winnable games so Portland can't afford a 4 game losing streak right now.
Denver scored 32 points in their first 8 games to start 0-8. The losses continued but they started scoring a bit, losing 12-10 and 21-16 before finally winning 24-23 last week to get their first win of the season.
San Antonio is 5-3 outside of division games. Unfortunately for them they play in the best division in the league but they can look to division mate Oklahoma on how to turn things around. Wasn't that long ago the Outlaws were the laughingstock of the league and now they are laughing at the rest of the league as they have beaten everyone in their path so far. The Gunslingers haven't made the playoffs since 1976 and it won't be easy to get back there because their division mates keep going strong. The AFC West of the USFL.
That's about it for now, I have 1 game to set up and a draft to look at, plus work tonight.
