Are Waivers broken?

I was surprised I was awarded WR Anthony Booker since we should be Ronnie James Dio, aka the last in line. Maybe the 4 other teams to put in claims went to the end of the line with other claims awarded, idrk.

I would have to assume the order resets after your first claim, although I'm not sure how to determine your personal claim order. I had three claims in, two of the three went to teams with winning records so I imagine that after my claim I got booted to the end

That's it. If you claimed a waiver you will be booted to the end and may slowly ascend again.

That's how it should be, but is it really? Or is it broken like the passing game in 4.6? How does MFN determine the order of players claimed? Not the teams, I know that should be worst record to first. I'm asking when there are multiple players on waivers, like after cut down day. Is it based on the order the cuts come in? Reverse alphabetical order? I doubt it's straight alphabetical order because I claimed Booker, and would need the 4 teams ahead of me to all make claims before the B's.

So many questions, so few answers.

Waiver claims have always been suspect. There is no telling which player is awarded/chosen 1st..2nd...3rd etc.

If you are awarded a waiver claim....you become Ronnie James Dio as Greg says..the last in line.

The sim needs to have a waiver claim priority tab for when any team submits multiple waiver claims.

Bad teams who have the 1st waiver claim should get the best player available on waivers but that only happens if they submit just 1 waiver claim and the issue is that bad teams will put in multiple claims and their 1st pick gets wasted on the 1st player processed.

It's a funky system in my opinion much like free agency....in free agency their may he 3 or 4 players a team wants to offer max contracts too but you can't because what happens if you actually land more than 1?

My solution is to have a box to prioritize waiver claims and free agents from 1 to 10 and have options so if I sign 1 then void 2-10. If I sign 2 then void 3-10 etc.

Just my meaningless opinion

Waiver claims should go in order of Trade score or default ratings so everyone has some idea of the order

Any type of system would be better than the blind stabs in the dark we have now. Those tiered offers is a good idea and would help waivers/free agency go smoothly. Too bad it will never happen under current MFN leadership.

Well the current regular season doesn't seem to matter yet, as only 2 teams put in claims for the QB Raymond Oswalt. Roy's brother??? Ex Astros pitcher Roy Oswalt, little dude with a big arm.

Anyway, I'm not mad but I put in a claim as did Portland. If it was based on this season I should have been awarded the claim. Maybe this season kicks in after 4 weeks, who the **** knows besides JDB.

7 weeks. I think that's when the NFL looks at the current season

https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-players/nfl-waiver-system-overview/

According to 2 different links, the waiver order is determined by draft order for the first 3 weeks, then 1 day after the 3rd regular season week ends it goes by current season record.

Also, according to this link https://dknation.draftkings.com/nfl/2021/8/30/22648201/nfl-waiver-wire-rules-2021-which-team-has-top-priority-claims-order teams don't go to the end of the line. If the team with #1 priority makes 3 claims, they get all 3.
