The National Conference is less clear. We know
New Jersey is the #1 seed while
Florida has won the Southeast. We also know that
Charlotte and
Pittsburgh have clinched playoff spots with 9-6 records. One of them will win the Atlantic, the other gets a wildcard.
That leaves 5 teams fighting for 3 spots.
Shreveport is 8-7 and just needs to beat Georgia to win the South. A loss opens the door for 7-8
New Orleans to win the division with a win over San Antonio. Even if Shreveport wins, New Orleans should grab a wildcard spot with a win, as MFN has them as the current #7 seed, last team in.
A Shreveport loss would make them 8-8 and in the wildcard mix with
Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Philadelphia. All 3 teams are currently 7-8 and none play each other.
MFN says
Washington is eliminated, but if they win to improve to 7-8-1, they are in if 3 of the 4 teams 7-8 lose.
