I just want to offer an apology to anyone I may have annoyed, upset or hurt in any way due to my recent torrent of posts across all MFN forums.

I'm truly sorry!

I love this game and have spend countless hours not only playing it but adding content and making custom rules to help improve the game play experience for everyone.

It just makes me sick that a small group of owners with an agenda have pushed JDB into releasing Beta as a new version!

JDB hasn't made a significant change to Beta since last December and there are seasons of data to show just how broken Beta is!!!

Version 4.5 is far from perfect but admins and leagues have made custom rules to close off exploits and the gameplay is fairly consistent with passing that nearly matches the NFL.

It needs simple improvements to close exploits, improve blitzing numbers while reopening the long passing.

All 4.6 did was destroy passing, opening up blitzing on top of it and made the rushing numbers record breaking.

I've quit 5 leagues and wavering on quitting even more. This game was a fun escape for me and helped me recover after my stroke but this new direction has made my experience frustrating and it's not fun anymore.

I am making a decision to no longer post in any threads other then to add content in my leagues or talk about my teams in the leagues I don't admin.

Beyond the new version, I've increasingly become annoyed at interactions in forums where things are debated and opinions about the game are expressed.

Being a pompous *** and acting superior to everyone does not make you right!!! Dismissing others opinions out of hand because you believe you know everything does not make you right!!!

Much of this game is subjective and there is more then one way to do things!! It's a game and it suppose to be fun but more times then not, discussions in the forums become passing contest that leads to somebody quitting a league because their feelings get hurt via digital communication.

Communicating effectively through digital means is extremely difficult because you have no idea the inflection being used, have no ability to read body language or if someone is being facetious or sarcastic. The biggest problem is somebody reads something into a post that's not even there because maybe they didn't get enough hugs as a child, their father beat them or they are simple social awkward. We have no idea in most cases if we are debated a 70 year old man who just plays for fun or a 13 year autistic child who uses MFN as his only means as social interaction.

I know I'm rambling and I will wrap this up by offering a sincere apology to anyone I've offended, annoyed or insulted. I will continue to admin my two leagues in there 20th season plus continue to play in the USFL which rivals my XFL for fun and extras and quit posting about anything other then the fun style.

Thanks for letting me vent everyone, this game is nothing without the great owners like you guys!!

IMO, you have nothing to apologize for. Even people that disagree with your point of view - have to recognize that you were respectful.

I was in a league with 4.6, left during 3rd season. I found it plodding and dull. I'm holding out hope that the only way we get to the next version after 4.6 is to go through 4.6. If it takes 2+ calendar years to get there, I think this game shrinks.

I forget the version, 4.3 maybe? but the one with wide open passing and ridiculous punt returns. For all its flaws, the game was growing steadily during it and a lot of fun. Through 4.5 - there has been a steady decline in the number of players.

But, yeah, like you - I see myself cutting back a bit as the current seasons end.

It'll be tough calls when you're looking down the barrel of Free Agency #1s deciding on whether to disperse the energy level for it or not...knowing what awaits. (drab v4.6)

JDB really mucked up not adding a way to 1-click $1 raise to each coach to bypass wasting 10 minutes of your life on clicking nonsense to get through 12 coaching re-sign scenarios.
