Nobody should be mad about these rules additions, as there is only 1 player that is severely underweight at LB.
LB must weight at least 237 lbsMust have at least 1 K and 1 P on the roster and active during game/midweek spins, including preseasonI'll address the K/P first. During the offseason, I don't care if you don't have a K or P, the offseason is the time to find one. Whenever we are playing actual games, you must have an active, actual K and P. I don't wanna see LB kicking FGs ever, unless it's due to AI shenanigans or injury to a kicker.
We currently have 3 underweight LB across the league, the Arizona player who blocked the punt, a 10 year vet on Memphis and a 3rd year player on New York. The Wrangler LB was 233 when he blocked the punt, 236 today so he is fine and should gain that last pound next spin or 2. The 10 year vet on Memphis is fine as well, he was 229 lbs the other day when I checked and he's 232 now. He is gaining weight and at 67 speed, likely nobody cares.
The only issue is with
David Armstrong. He was a FS on Arizona who was made a LB and traded to New York during our draft this season. I'm inclined to "grandfather" him in, since at the time of the trade there was no rule in place, his speed is only 73, and he has gained 5 lbs since I checked him the other day, going from 211 to 216.
Punt BlocksI could have sworn the rule was no LB with 80+ speed on the front 4, but I must have got my leagues confused. Maybe Arizona got lucky, maybe it's the beginning of a trend. Time will tell, but if we start having a rash of blocked punts, the next step will be to restrict the speed of the front 4 LB. We won't have exploit ball in this league, period.
