In the USFL/WFL, we have found it necessary to add some custom rules for our league. They are as follows:

Punt Block Exploit No defensive back, wide receiver, or running back is allowed to be on the front 4 of the punt block team, period. It is recommended, but not required, that you have no defensive backs in your ST Rusher depth chart at all, but if you feel you must, make sure that injuries don't force that DB into a front 4 position, or you will be in violation.

McKeon Rule: A linebacker must weigh a minimum of 255 pounds to play defensive end or if under the weight limit have a speed no greater than 80.

Rudeness toward other league members will not be tolerated: People will have differences of opinion from time to time, and we should handle those like adults, without name calling and personal attacks.

Taking Effect for 1991 Season

No 2 way players: Offensive players can NOT play defense and defensive players can NOT play offense.

Took Effect in 1992

All defensive lineman must weigh at least 265 lbs

Taking Effect in 1993

All ball carriers must weigh at least 200 lbs

It's a weight rule, not a position rule, so if there actually is a 200 lb WR, he doesn't have to be changed. 198 lbs is NOT close enough.

OL Minimum Weights

Centers must weigh at least 250 lbs
Guards/Tackles must weigh 275 lbs
