The 1977 Draft Class
by Booger926 @ 4/03/2018 7:47 am
The Season is over and either New Orleans or Philadelphia has the #1 overall pick with a record of 1 win and 15 loses, but who has the pick.

They did not play Head-to-Head.

Both of these teams were 0-12 within their Conference and 0-6 within their division

They both played 4 similar opponents; NY Stars, Pittsburgh Maulers, Jacksonville Bulls, and Birmingham Stallions, losing all four to them.

According to the #5 Tie Breaking Procedure, Strength of Victory, or record of all the teams they defeated that season, The Voodoo defeated the 4-12 Houston Gamblers and the Bell beat the 2-14 California Sun. So with that information, I would believe the Voodoo is on the clock, but I could be wrong.

Anyways, just doing a quick glance-over the incoming class, for the first time in a LOooong time, there is a QB within the top five (according to General Ratings). The Draft is also deep in Non-Skilled Positions and shallow in Skilled. And then there is the question why this guy is rated as the 2nd best player available

If the VooDoo defeated a better opponent, then I would think Philadelphia would be considered the worse team and they would get the top pick.

I don't see WR Shawn Michael as the No. 2 player on my list. In fact, I have him listed as 25/58 by my weights and 25/57 default. By my weights, the top three are LT Wesley Griffin (39/90), K Gary Spence (41/90) and SS Herbert Lynn (37/89).

I know weights have been a discussion topic on various boards.

The top three appearing on my draft class list is the P Hensley (44/94), MLB Gross (38/91) and LT Griffin (41/91).
(SS Lynn is fourth on my list)

Out of interest, anyone else care to share ?

Well, that would make sense since I was using Tie breaking procedures and should have been going backwards
