How long before Uniform # changes are permanent?

How long before Uniform # changes are permanent? by raidergreg69 @ 7/14/2017 4:01 am In trying to maintain historical accuracy I had to make John Joyce a safety to give him #47, but when I try to change him back to SLB I am forced to give him a number in the 50's. In other leagues I have several players with illegal numbers after position switches. I'm guessing my answer is 1 sim but does anyone know for sure how long it takes?
