This change to the trade review process was implemented by me this morning, since I doubt there will be much opposition to it.

To send the trade to the committee for review, a coach must reply to the original trade post, stating the reason he is requesting a review. This review should be requested within 24 hours of the trade being posted.

The trade review process was put in place to protect new coaches and prevent lopsided trades that would impact a franchise for years to come. We have only overturned one trade in the nearly four-year history of our league. So, based on that history, the appearance of a slight advantage one way or another isn't a compelling enough reason for a veto. We don't want to encourage "nuisance lawsuits," and we don't want to wear out the members of the trade committee by forcing them into daily analysis. I am sure most of you will understand.
