If you believe this trade warrants additional investigation, please contact the league admin.) I think this trade warrants a look at by admin. First of all, it's too late...we're about to hit week 13 and the deadline for trades was 5 games ago. Second of all, I almost never overturn trades...overpayment is not a valid reason to overturn a trade, and had this been brought up 5 minutes after the trade went through, my answer would be the same as it is a couple weeks later. People value picks and players differently...maybe the Gamblers owner is like Smirt...F them picks, and besides, young startable qbs don't grow on trees. I'm gonna be in the same boat once McClure retires...needing to overpay to get one, either in free agency or trade. In my opinion, trades should only be overturned due to collusion, user error, or taking advantage of a newbie. Part of running a franchise is sometimes overpaying for players, or making a trade that turns out bad. Nobody stepped in to stop the Browns for trading for DeShaun Cosby (wrong last name on purpose...google Bill Cosby if you don't know). Another factor to consider is if I overturn the trade, both teams will have salary cap ramifications and Philadelphia will have a very upset player that won't resign with him. |

Of course, one must wonder why a team owner would send such a haul of picks for a QB he doesn't even play

Greg - I've been in this league many times - and this is the first time I've ever tried to bring a trade to the attention of an admin. I might even go so far as saying it's the first time I've every highlighted a trade that warrents a "look at".
For me, it's not personal to the coaches/owners involved, it's the pure value of the trade vs picks that is of a concern. It seems totally unbalanced imo, with respect to both parties. Just my 2 cents. |

Of course it's unbalanced but that's not enough to overturn a trade.

Greg if you want to reverse the trade simple solution.

Even if I was considering it, which I'm not, too much time has passed. |

I'm letting it go because the QB Houston received is a 5th year player and he's startable. Plus, Houston signed him to a contract extension with a high bonus.
Any damage done by this trade will be made worse by reversing it, as Houston will have about $180 million of dead cap while Philadelphia would get back a player that's very angry with him. Had the QB in question been in say year 9 or higher than I'd consider reversing it. The Houston owner has been with MFN for 1 year...hardly a newbie. My only suspicion is why isn't Houston playing this QB, as he's clearly way better than the 5 or 6 rookie QBs on the Gamblers roster? That makes it seem like tanking, but why??? The #1 draft pick is owned by another team so no benefit to losing. If Harry Potter and US Gigolo share an IP address, then I would reverse it. |
