We had a 2-0 game, in OT mind you, as Memphis beat Orlando. Both teams combined for just 187 yards. Memphis ran every play, gaining 74 yards on 45 carries. Orlando actually moved the ball well when they weren't taking sacks as they lost 133 yards on 17 sacks. The 17th and final sack was a walk off safety in OT. Not quite the same impact as the walk off safety I had back in the day to win my first World Bowl, but a walk off safety nonetheless.
Ugly game I'm sure both owners are glad didn't count.
It's tough to move the ball. You either have to be in a weaker competitive league and go all-out passing v. GL D advantages or fully commit to running and defense in the same type of league. More competitive leagues like this and XFL...you have to balance it to perfection and pray - perfect play choices and traps to get the D plays you need to hit it off. Extremes doesn't work in the XFL and the USFL like it does in MFN-2, MFN-7 or Quick as it opened up. I can nail 1k passing days or 500 running days in those leagues. Here, you have to possess not even 1 singular, bad offensive play, be taut and pray to get a run of dice rolls to advance down the field.
