The San Antonio Gunslingers won the World Bowl again, their 2nd in a row. The Gunslingers have appeared in the last 5 World Bowls, winning 3 and losing 2. Today they beat the Orlando Renegades 31-3, as the Renegades lost their 2nd World Bowl. Orlando was the 2nd seed in the National Conference, beating New Jersey, New York, and Pittsburgh to reach World Bowl XLIII. San Antonio was the #1 seed and beat Memphis and Michigan to reach the World Bowl.
Orlando got the ball first and was forced to punt while San Antonio scored a TD on their opening drive. Orlando followed that with a pair of INTs, of which the Gunslingers converted one into a TD for a 14-0 lead. QB George Warner was responsible for the 2 TDs, throwing one to Martin Miranda and one to Kendall Short.
Not much happened the rest of the first half as the Gunslingers maintained that 14-0 lead.San Antonio got the ball to start the 2nd half and punted, but George Warner threw 2 more TD passes, one on each of the next 2 drives to push the lead to 28-0. Each team would add a FG for our final score of 31-3.
George Warner won MVP, driving home in a brand new 2017 Corvette, decked out in San Antonio team colors of course. Warner finished the game completing 25/37, 309 yards and 4 TDs to 4 different receivers.
