Introducing our new Co-Commish
by raidergreg69 @ 2/14/2023 7:28 pm
This morning I fully intended to give up my post but I was reminded of something by our new co-commish, who asked me if I really wanted to risk someone villageidioting this league up. Smirt brought up the same point in his reply this morning. I thought about it and despite my flaws, perhaps I am still the best option to run this league so long as I get some help.

The burnout is real, which is why I'll be dropping some teams soon but our new co-commish is very passionate about MFN and I'm hoping that will rub off on me. It should surprise nobody that Cjfred68 is the co-commish. Those that may not know, he runs 3 leagues already, quite successfully I might add, and he is willing to help out here.

What will a co-commish do? For starters, he'll help with recruiting. CJ has relationships with players that I don't and vice versa, and having someone else pitch the league to potential new owners will help us stay full.

He will also help me revive our dormant Hall of Fame and All Pro teams. It's my fault they went by the wayside and I have been wanting to bring them back, but I need help for that. Extra content makes these leagues more fun, and I want to get back to that. Having someone there to remind me we need to do this or that will keep me on my toes.

We'll try this approach the rest of this season and all of the next, then see where we're at. I apologize for the drama but I'm glad I seemingly found a resolution that makes everyone happy.

The new co-commish already paying dividends as he sent out some PMs to potential new owners. Tampa Bay now has an owner and others are sniffing around.

We are kind of like a family even though we've never met irl. That's why I didn't pull a Cartman and say screw you guys, I'm going home. Even if I ever get so mad I want to quit MFN altogether, I'd still get a replacement for me here first.

I was letting the stress get to me, but some of you guys are probably used to that by now. I was getting worried I'd never fill those open teams and that possibly more would leave at seasons end.

CJ stepped in and got us full, quickly, which greatly reduced my stress. We have plans to bring back All Pro and Hall of Fame and our league looks stronger than ever.
