It's energy bursts. I'll typically write up a reason to be mad and then immediately work on my game plan. I'm clam otherwise. I'll work on dropping that hype up.

What I don't like are trolls. Example. I beat bleastmode whom is one of those discord chatty types but I kept silent. A couple days later he crafts a good game message post on the board to me equipped with disses; thus opening his mouth. I'll halt up the hype up stuff.

But I don't care for mean people or those who get off on trolling 1 play and then want to hit the board to yap at you.

The whole thing is somebody? supposedly "dissed" you about your trade for Icenhour



Besides break tackle...he is about as complete a RB/WR as you can get and anyone who questions that clearly doesn't have a clue about how MFN works. I wish I had someone like him on my roster and obviously he should be at the top of the leaderboard.

If you had traded for some of the flawed players I'm using and put then atop the leader board after being "dissed"...I would get it.






The real question is why do you get attacked and "dissed" so much? Why are you constantly targeted? I'm fairly successful myself, yet rarely if ever does anyone publicly or privately attack me!

This is a game and I enjoy winning but my passion is deeper. I love to dive into the stats and play with them to tell a story. Right now I'm doing a deep dive into grading drafts in the XFL. It's time consuming and takes my attention away from the daily goings on in league forums and chats.

My question is why do so many come at you? Do you know? If you are gonna try harder against someone who "dissed" you then why do it?

To teach them a lesson.

We'll go to a pinpoint example. I joined PFL and was silent and got jumped on. Here's the truth. There's a few pretty crummy, immature people in that discord chat. I'm not going to engage back and forth with them. I'm 40-2. I'm going to pound them and shut them up. I don't like ugly. Being told 'come join discord so I can talk sh*t to your face' and/or watching the trolling a few of them do with enjoying pounding 1 play or being chatty about it. I'm not going to kick it with people like that. I'm going to pound them in the game.

You misunderstand my question....not why do you do it....why do you get attacked so much???? I win a bunch and have no fair share of Titles yet nobody is doing to me what you say is being done to you.

Why don't the immature trolls as you call them attack me like they seemingly attack you?

No disrespect to you CJ but i think its because Smirt is the best. I havent played you that often, but when i have, i thought i had some chance to win and same goes for any other of the top folk like setherick, infinity on trial, you name it. I think more people feel that way about Smirt than anyone else. Of course not everyone and probably not the majority but i think more people that see him on their schedule more than anyone else say well there goes my perfect season. Jealousy; just my take on it. I mean i think i could beat Smirt but in the unlikeliest of all scenarios.

I was done with Bryson when my 110-TD QB season didn't get me a title over him.

Competitively people can get madder and madder and then you have to play angrier and angrier in order to compete. That's why most ELITE will fade out/get pushed out eventually. You constantly have to match the intensity coming at you and plan deeper because there'll always be that guy amped up to take you down.

I do hard work and don't cheat but in a way he was if the 100 strength theory at the line to get your team to always get penalties with false starts and holding penalties is true since no one knew that and the only way to know that is to have inside info on the code.

I believe I can answer this. I am mostly a fly on the wall but I keep up with the forums in all leagues I have been in. I have been in quite a few leagues with smirt. This isn't an attack on you smirt but here are my observations on why you get targeted...

It comes two main things in my opinion:
1. You are always one of the first to find and exploit loopholes in the game mechanics. Some managers take offence to this and others just start to follow the trend. If GMs institute rules around these exploits you definitely do abide by them but if not you do what it takes to win. Everyone has their own opinion on this but it does rub some people the wrong way even though technically you aren't doing anything wrong.
2. You occasionally make posted that come off as arrogant. So people that take offence to my first point get even more pissed off. It's essentially adding fuel to the fire.

Again I am just trying to help with some insight here. If you feel that after my post when your team meets mine you want to put extra effort in to kick my *** go for it haha. Doesn't bother me in the slightest because at the end of the day this is just a game and it's supposed to be fun.

I'm definately not disrespected....clearly Smirt is the greatest owner in the game without question.

Smirt and I are playing our 17th season in the USFL (Smirt 3 different teams) and I have 6 Titles while Smirt is still looking for his first!

It's better to be lucky then great!!!

That's probably really close to the truth and I hope Smirt doesn't shoot the messenger. I also think a big part of it is that Smirt doesn't back down from a message board fight. If more people would just accept what he types as "Smirt being Smirt", we'd have less tension.

Everyone knows Smirt talks a lot, and he has explained it's mainly self motivation. That makes it easy for me to say that's Smirt being Smirt, and go about my day unbothered. Smirt's posts don't take a negative turn until someone else bites back at his comments.

At this point, I see Smirt's competitiveness flare up. You think he's intense with game planning? Smirt doesn't want to lose games and he doesn't want to lose conversations either, so when someone pokes the bear, it's on like donkey kong.

My best advice to anyone that doesn't like Smirt's posts is to just ignore them. Everybody here has been great at not poking the bear and I appreciate that. It seems to me others across MFN that aren't in this league need to heed this advice.

These last few posts probably should have been posted under it's own title instead of in the good game thread. I think I'll make a separate post.
