He will still be pressed into service in nickel packages because the incumbents are so bad.

1.22 MLB Michael Gatlin Vol: 34 +11/+3 Now 49/91

A big improvement over the incumbent. Still too slow to help in coverage.

2.7 WR Matthew Toney Vol: 100 +1/-22 Now 34/55

Sigh. Any attempt to get faster gets rebuffed big time. He wasn't even that fast!

3.6 WR David Barfield Vol: 100 +5/+3 Now 49/92

I still have a big speed problem. While I appreciate this, I really, really needed to get faster.

4.7 LT Michael Cobbs Vol: 16 +1/-1 Now 40/73

A depth piece on the offensive line. His run blocking will help me, but his limited strength will hurt me.

4.24 SLB David Stewart Vol: 84 +3/-8 Now 30/52

His coverage skills are so sad that he will probably be forced to DE at some point.

4.32 SS Miguel Grover Vol: 62 +6/-4 Now 43/63

I will probably have to move him back to FS because his M2M took such a nasty hit.

I still need help at CB, but it just wasn't there. I am being forced into a grind-it-out style by the lack of speed, but so be it.

Like the VooDoo’s need for CBs , the Gold needs WRs. Drafted one with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th round picks - all but the 5th rounder busted.

The draft has become almost comically watered down. At least it’s something everyone has to deal with - but instead of being excited about it and having fun - it’s becoming more of a sense of “hope there’s at least 2 picks that work out.”

Mixed bag for us, but even though we had some busts, for the most part they weren't in the most important categories. Gonna move Benjamin to FB and Helfer to CB and see what happens. The DTs will still be solid. Overall Im pretty happy with the draft this year.
